Audio/Video Quality: Fuck A Fan #4 was presented in 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Jim Powers for Immoral Productions and released in standard definition using the MPEG-2 codec with 480p resolution. I'm not a regular when it comes to watching movies by the folks at the company but Jim consistently shoots well given the sparsest of resources so I figured he'd do well here too. The fleshtones were accurate and the ladies were shown very clearly. The bitrate hovered around the mid 5.4 Mbps range when I spot checked it but I did not get the sense that the specs made much of a difference this time. There was a lot of wild camera work that weakened the production, Jim going for raw energy over technical finesse, but the close ups dominated much of the action and that weakened the context of some shots a lot, the series logo sported boldly on the lower right hand corner. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English using a 48 kHz sampling rate and the usual 192 Kbps audio bitrate. There wasn't any noticed separation but the vocals were clearly heard except during the gangbang itself (the levels were set wrong so it was heavily distorted) and some of the quieter moments when the microphone didn't pick up both sides to each conversation as well.

Body of Review: Jim Powers is best known as a zany director of modern porn, showing few boundaries as he attempts to capture elusive moments between willing partners engaging in nasty sex. His latest focus point to shoot such scenes is Immoral Productions, his work there showing a tendency to go beyond the use of standard performers in order to provide something different. His latest fuck flick making it my way was Fuck A Fan #4, presumably shot before the Tanner Mayes Blowout, as the gal was a fluffer in several scenes. That said, the premise of the movie was to provide scenes of porn gals having sex with fans, the guys submitting their names via the internet to participate in what amounts to the latest such Pro-Am series. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Phoenix Marie

Scene One: Madison Parker, the hotty featured on the front cover, was up first with some fluffing assistance from Ashli Orion, in doing Asian Mike. He wore a condom and they did oral on each other before the vaginal plowing, Ashli relegated to the sidelines except when the genetic juice flew at the ladies. While there was no chemistry between the primary players, the guy did show some enthusiasm for working with the ladies beyond the usual mopes in the industry, elevating the scene a bit before the ladies shared his facial.

The technical values lacked and the cast really had no business being there in most cases (at least the men) but it was definitely a change of pace that some online surfers might want to emulate should they make the next volume, Fuck A Fan #4 amusing at the very least.
