Audio/Video Quality: Fucking Hostile was presented in anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Aiden Starr for Evil Angel. This was Aiden’s second movie as a director for the company, the curvy director no stranger to the company or directing in general. Aiden was the only one credited with camera work and editing here though Nate Liquor got a nod for still photography. Of interest to me were times when it looked like a second camera was used, one with different settings, so the flesh tones varied at those points, Aiden always present in the background coaxing the performers to get into their work. The editing was on the jumpy side too, not what I expected from the production given the look it had last time, which was decidedly better than this flick for technical matters. There was a company watermark continuously displayed on the lower right corner of the screen at all times but the oversaturated colors and lighting issues bothered me much more. The aural components were presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital and I could hear the performers easily enough, the music on the fair side, and the original music was credited to DJ Black while My Twin Brother handled sound design and color mastering.

Body of Review: Aiden Starr is the newest director to join the ranks at Evil Angel, her twisted sensibilities helping them keep the edge they have over the rest of the gonzo field. Her latest movie for the company is called Fucking Hostile, a tribute to rough anal sex with women that not only take the abuse, but like it as well. From curvy cover gal Nikki Darling to hardcore aficionado Penny Pax, to hotty Yasmine De Leon, and Maia Davis, the potential for fulfilling the desires of Aiden’s core constituency was very high here, my biggest concern going into the show being the low quality mopes used. Otherwise, Aiden played a limited sexual role in the flick which disappointed me but more on that later.

Summary: Fucking Hostile by director Aiden Starr for Evil Angel had a lot of anal sex, the rough treatment of the ladies coming at their bequest so I rated the movie as Recommended, my reservations over the low quality men used and the need for the technical matters to be upgraded stuck in my mind as I weighed the decision. All the ladies looked fuckable and each had fun here though I admit that I was disappointed that Aiden was not given any screen time herself, her voice booming from behind the camera not enough for my tastes. In short, Fucking Hostile was another step in Aiden’s evolution as a director, the touches of heated sexual encounters balanced against the factors in need of some polishing up, the casting of attractive women (two black, two white) helping secure a higher rating than it would have otherwise received. Each of the ladies did anal and appeared to get off doing so, Penny Pax and Yasmine De Leon standing out by comparison though the others had some appeal too.
