Extras: The first disc offered only a pop shot recap as an extra, the bulk of disc space going to the movie. The best extra on the second disc was the 19:43 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Bud Fox, introducing the cast and concept. There was then an 18:07 minute long non-sex version of the movie, a photogallery, some trailers, the usual spam and other extras offered on a Vivid production.

Audio/Video Quality: Avengers XXX 2 was presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Axel Braun for distribution by Vivid Entertainment. This time, Axel and Eli Cross were in the roles of videographer, Kylie Ireland and Andy Appleton as Art Directors, September Dawn as the skilled costumer, and Axel and Mrs. Braun assisting Claudia Ross on editing (Level 5 Post taking care of the special effects). The visuals looked great with a handful of green screen effects. The audio was presented in a basic 2.0 Dolby Digital with a 48 kHz sampling rate and 192 Kbps aural bitrate, the vocals clearly heard regardless of the situation. The musical interludes sounded appropriate to the situations but this did not seem as big budget as previous bigger budget parodies by Axel, the sound editing by Seth Cardigan of Axel and Mrs. Braun’s musical score adding some nice touches too. Overall, it was still a talented blending of audio and visual elements to add to Axel’s parody resume.

Body of Review: Axel Braun has been acknowledged as one of the top porn parody directors by most credible sources, his former distribution deal with Vivid Entertainment providing some of the best cosplay shows even if the parody elements were light at times. Even though he’s moved on to greener pastures, he shot a variety of titles for them that are still being released, including the latest release of Avengers XXX 2: A Porn Parody, the Marvel Comics hero group given a decidedly different take from the mainstream blockbuster coming out next week on May 1. The background of the original comic team is a group of heroes joined forces to fight particularly nasty threats to Earth, the rotating line up making sure a wide variety of costumed vigilantes participated in their antics. Naysayers might claim they were just Marvel’s answer to DC’s The Justice League of America (which was tied to the earlier Justice Society and other groups) but whatever your take, grouping up people provides many opportunities (and unlike the Justice League, the Avengers typically had more than a single female hero around at any given time).

While the mainstream sophomore effort is dedicated to the team fighting the team’s long time nemesis Ultron, a nearly indestructible robot with artificial intelligence akin to DC’s “Brainiac” mixed in with a dash of “Terminator”, the porn version opts instead for a minimal outing where Hydra rears its ugly head once more and Spiderman makes a guest appearance in the popular black costume from the Secret Wars days (which later had a mind of its own, so to speak), the bulk of the show dedicated to sex again, rather than feature elements. With a whole new crop of ladies to appreciate, I was looking forward to this one for some time, the results a bit mixed but given the overall lethargic state of porn parodies for the most part, it was fun to enjoy even if it was dedicated to the spin off group, the West Coast Avengers.

The back cover described the show like this: “The long-awaited sequel to legendary director Axel Braun's blockbuster parody is finally here! In this new sexy spoof, the superhero team splits into groups in order to battle a creature known as onslaught and find a toxic chemical inside Hydra's secret base. But their biggest challenge will be battling one of their own, transformed into an evil version of himself. Just when they thought they were safe... along came a spider!” Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Jayden Jaymes (located on the lower right corner of the front cover), playing SHIELD agent Maria Hill, was up first in a holographic setting doing Josh “Captain America” Rivers, in an old west scenario. It was her job to help him acclimate to the realities of modern times and after some training, she took him there to have some private time with him, dropping down on her knees to slob his knob aggressively while both remained in their skin tight outfits. Jayden opened up her uniform to reveal her always welcome boobs, the gal applying some hand to gland friction to enhance the hummer before a quick edit showed her rapidly riding his turgid rod vaginally with her bald beaver. I’d make a joke about her going commando in her outfit but frankly, torn open or not, the slit of the slut looked slick to me, well worth paying some attention too. As she enjoyed boning the fossil in a few positions, her eye contact was decent, the pacing of the sex not the greatest but Jayden easily carrying the scene from the lower tier mope, the gal draining his dragon of sperm to plaster her face before a meeting on the helicarrier showed how writer’s can screw up little details.

Scene Two: Zoe “Wasp” Voss (upper right corner between Spiderman and Captain America), was up next in her skin tight vinyl outfit getting her ass slapped by recurring character Lexington “Nick Fury” Steele, the idea that the head of SHIELD had anything to do with selecting members of the team a curious one to say the least. He gave her a private audition of sorts as they kept to the usual dynamic of staying in their outfits, Zoe sucking the top portion of his cock before bending over to let Lex gobble her gash as she kept her head down and ass in the air. Aside from the fact that neither she nor Spiderman sensed any danger (both having a precognitive sixth sense as one of their powers), the whole “having sex while on a mission” idea, especially with her ex-boyfriend in the next room, seemed pretty weak as far as the writing too. Rikki and Eric immediately went at each other though, a kiss leading to her aggressively inhaling his modest rod to the bone as he gave a bunch of commentary to the romantic music, then moving to a series of vaginal penetration positions where she bounced back and forth between actively riding him and being quite passive, rewarded for her efforts by getting her implants nutted on by Eric.

Scene Four: Juelz “Viper” Ventura (lower middle of the front cover), was up next as a symbiote influenced Xander “Spiderman” Corvus pawed her curvy tits, his spider senses not warning him of danger in time to avoid being transformed. The specifics of the transformation aside given they don’t track character history, he was soon tearing up her bent over pussy as both remained in costume while he satiated his newfound needs. She let him do most of the work and the vaginal sex led to anal sex, I guess the idea that the villains have better sex than the heroes in the porn parody world speaking volumes for which side Eli and Axel would choose if given the chance. In any case, Juelz became a more active rider when she was on top of Xander, the tear in her crotch allowing a proper view of their tryst just as her tits were allowed to breath by moving her satin green outfit, her mask moved so she could do some ATM and finish him off orally for a glazed face.

Scene Five: Eva “Red Guardian” Karera (not shown on the front cover), was up last with Seth “The Winter Soldier” Gamble, as he finished his latest assassination for hire job, the lady wanting to hire him per orders. They stayed in costume and he devoured her nearly bald beaver when a slit was torn in it, her exaggerated sex noises a bit annoying as she reclined to let him warm her up. Her blowjob was much more active and indicative of her more recent sexual endeavors on camera, Seth’s cock easily handled by the lady just as she spent some attention nuzzling his nuts. Summary: Avengers XXX 2 by director Axel Braun for Vivid Entertainment merited a rating of Recommended or better depending on what you are looking for in a superhero porn parody. There was a good selection of ladies here with Penny Pax as Mockingbird, Zoe Voss as Wasp, Rikki Six assuming the role of Ms. Marvel, and others of note but the limited number of scenes reduced the amount of cosplay and feature elements to be explored so just enjoy it for what it is rather than what it could have been, a few of the guys reprising their roles fairly well (mostly Xander as Spiderman and Eric as Hawkeye). In short, Avengers XXX 2: An Axel Braun Parody will likely satisfy the super heroine cravings of comic book fans new and old alike, the movie taking the “sex is vastly more important than story” dynamic again instead of spending much time to the feature aspects few will bother with more than once, if that so give it a look and let me know what you think.
