Extras: The first real extra was a 4:12 minute section of cast interviews, starting with the mighty Evan Stone telling Tristan and Penny about his past as a stripper. The couple actually had a bit of sex too but it was far too truncated to add much value for me. Then came a 10:55 minute bout of lesbian boning in the form of a lesbian scene between Sarah Blake and Princess Donna (Sarah initially getting drilled by a strap on dildo) with a lot of oral loving by both ladies. The 4:21 minute long Safer Sex instructional clip took place; Evan and Penny showing the world a thing or two as they got off with Tristan narrating. Then came a 4:38 minute long instructional video on the use of strap on dildo use by Sarah and Donna. There were also trailers to Tristan's other releases, including Chemistry 1, Chemistry 2, Chemistry 3, Guide to Anal Sex, Guide to Cunnilingus, and some spam.

Audio/Video Quality: Tristan Taormino's Expert Guide to the G Spot (Blu-Ray) was presented in widescreen color with an aspect ratio of 1.78:1 as shot by director Tristan Taormino for Vivid under her Smart Ass Productions label using the AVC codec to provide superior resolution (this one registering as 1080i). The lighting was flat and not too harsh with Tristan essentially lecturing a group of everyday looking types in a large living room before the clips of sexual activity were edited in. The sex scenes were covered from a few angles, capturing the women looking their best as the lighting maintained the slightly saturated but pleasant look. I haven't seen the SD version but the Blu-Ray made the cast look extremely lifelike and added some value for me as a critical reviewer (probably adding even more for the rest of you). There was some minor grain but nothing much and the framing of both sections of the show were better than expected. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English using the standard 192 Kbps format as expected. The two sections of the show had clear vocals and some light, generic guitar based music though little separation and the dynamic range was not very varied.

Body of Review: I've been a fan of Tristan Taormino for some time now, the lovely young lady one of the most positive people I have met in the porn industry. As a writer, director, producer, columnist, and educator, Tristan is one of the few people associated with the industry that has made a contribution to the public consciousness over the years, in ways far surpassing the sexual athleticism you find in most adult titles released today. Her latest educational release is a first in the sense that it is also out in the Blu-Ray format most high end consumers have adopted, a title called Tristan Taormino's Expert Guide to the G Spot (Blu-Ray). Having a bit of experience with tracking down the elusive Grafenberg Spot with partners myself, it is always good to see intelligent discussion expanding the public knowledge of advanced sexual practices, if for no other reason, it increases the chances that future partners of mine will be up to speed when we hit the sack (without them literally hitting me in the ball sack for trying something they've never heard of). Scene One: Sarah Blake, a very sexy redhead with an all natural body, was up first as the test subject for Princess Donna to demonstrate the practice of fingering the G-Spot. Tristan had given a short lecture before these great visual aids were positioned before the camera, the small audience left uncredited at first. Donna lubed up Sarah and was sliding her fingers inside the cutie, showing that communication is very important between partners since we all have slightly different bodies. They used a vibrator and appeared to get Sarah off (as the receiver) but the non-lecture version was more fun for self pleasuring purposes.

Scene Three: Penny Flame, a hotty and one of my favorite bloggers here at Xcritic, was up next with the mighty Evan Stone as the two put into practice the advanced techniques of the show. They began with a believable warm up session of caressing each other before Evan put on a glove for safer sex practices. Paying close attention to what worked for Penny, he nibbled on her ankle while fingering her, Penny's respiration rate elevating to show he knew what he was doing even before they used toys to explore her cookie. The use of condoms on the toys was weird but a practice I adhere to myself, as much to protect the person as the toy. In the instructional version of the scene, pop up video bubbles with tips would appear on the screen (not just in this scene either) and I advise all viewers to watch the full version at least a time or two. The best part of the scene for me was the 69 where each did the other at the same time but the vaginal screwing was heated too. By the time they were done, both were drenched in sweat but noticeably aroused for the action, Penny practically glowing as a result.

Scene Four: Kylie Worthy, a bleach blond with a nice body, was up last in a short scene with muscular Derrick Pierce as the couple explored female ejaculation. Some call this squirting and others call it pissing, depending on whom you talk to about it, your discussion will vary. They talked about it a lot at the beginning and went into a session of necking before stimulating each other; the camera focusing largely on Kylie getting played with. The upgrade to the high definition Blu-Ray will depend on how life like you prefer your porn ladies but I thought a rating of Recommended was reasonable given the relative lack of pure sexual stroking pleasure. If you are in the market for an instructional movie dealing with the G-Spot though, you probably wouldn't find anything better.
