Extras: The first extra was the 7:58 minutes worth of lost footage, the initial material seemingly focused on pot smokers and drunks. It was short but a lot of fun to watch, leading into the 29:57 minute long bonus scene between Rachel Roxxx and Nick Manning, some stripper antics leading up to their sexual liaison in the living room. There was then a cumshot recap, a photogallery, and some trailers for those who care.

Audio/Video Quality: Girls Night Out 4 was presented in a retro 1.33:1 ratio full frame as shot by director Penny Flame for Shane’s World. The material has sat in a vault for years now, many of the performers having left porn for greener pastures or running afoul of the law. As such, this production serves as a time capsule worthy looking into thanks to the chemistry some of the performers had for each other as well as the under structured manner in which the show was edited together. There were definitely portions in need of better lighting or other technical aspects but the fun factor the company is so well known for was there in spades, reminding me how I need to pick up some of their back catalog titles I never saw in the old days. The colors were accurate and the amount of minor issues such as jumpy cameras or abrupt edits were minimal, the video bitrate all over the place for those keeping track. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English, the aural components also a product of their time, the party scenes having a lot of background noise but the overall aural experience showing some decent work altogether.

Penny Flame with Charles

Body of Review: Penny Flame was one of the true wild spirits in the porn industry some years ago, her work as a director for Shane’s World amounting to the perfect combination of what made the company great for a youthful audience. While she has since moved on with her life, I found out recently that her legacy was incomplete, the company holding out on some great footage in the form of Girls Night Out 4. The movie now released, it contains a fair amount of what really worked for them back in the day, a celebration of good times and sexual chemistry including some previously unreleased scenes with the lady. While the first three volumes of the series were inconsistent, they were always worth a look or two given the youthful zeal displayed, the same said for this one now. The back cover described the movie like this: “Girl’s Night Out is back with a vengeance! Tanner, Penny and the girls take the party bus out on the town. After loading up on some cocktails, they head to a nightclub. Penny and a hot blonde get freaky at the club, but it's not until she's back in her hotel room that she goes to work on Charles. At the after-party, Savannah shows off her skills to Derrick. Then Alexis Texas & Sasha get sexy in the hot tub while Angelina and Jack hit the sheets. You better grab a bottle, it's time to pound more than some shots!” Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Tanner Mayes, a lean brunette known for her unwillingness to compromise in doing anything but what she wants to do, was up first in a motel with Alex Gonz, the guy giving her little kisses to convince her that it was time for some one on one action. Summary: Girls Night Out 4 by director Penny Flame for Shane’s World might not have been the best the company has had to offer over the years (they are still and forever best known for their wonderful travelogues) but even as a sexual time capsule of heated sexual trysts it managed to hit enough high notes (pun intended) that fans of the largely dispersed performers will appreciate it. The extras added some fun to the mix as well and their chemistry together was enough to merit a rating of Recommended, Eva Angelina’s recent return to porn making this an even more important piece. In short, Girls Night Out 4 provided some previously unreleased footage of Penny Flame, Eva Angelina, and others from several years back, a time when the world was quite different. I would have enjoyed seeing more party footage and even more material that seemed to taper off (the pacing was not as solid as most other titles in the company vaults, all due to reasons best left for a tell-all book) but there was no denying the strength of the content on its own merits so check it out.
