The Hulu Series Pam & Tommy: re-ignited interest in the most famous celebrity sex tape ever released “Pam & Tommy: Hardcore”. The image isn’t awesome, as it’s a full frame home video with black bars and with some tracking issues, but this tape was never really meant to be seen by the public. After Pam in the tub we are treated to video of Tommy Lee’s horses and his dogs. Is this stuff interesting, no. Does it belong in a sex tape, nope. It is there as padding. We are then treated to some blurred out images of some of Tommy’s crew messing around. This is followed by Tommy getting a manicure.

From here we get footage from Pam and Tommy Lee’s Wedding. Most of it is blurred out except for Pam Anderson and Tommy Lee. The wedding was featured in the Hulu Mini Series Pam & Tommy, so viewers of the series might find the inclusion of the wedding interesting, but the video and audio are hard to watch and it goes on for a long time.

Part 2 is zoomed in to 16:9 from a full from 4:3 video. Instead of presenting it in the original aspect ratio like part 1, it’s cropped and zoomed.

If you are looking for the sex, it’s at 15;22 on Part 2. Here we are treated to the first actual sex on this sex tape and it’s Pamela Anderson giving Tommy Lee a blowjob. Part 4 is presented in full frame with black sidebars and is more watchable than the zoomed in parts. Part 4 is another short part,weighing in just under 8 mins. The first five minutes is dedicated to another outside tour of Tommy Lee’s house and his dogs. By this point, you get a sense that the dude loves his house. I wasn’t expecting sex in this part, but low and behold there’s a surprize at the 4 minute mark

If you are looking for sex it starts at 4:25 with Pam Anderson showing off her McDonald’s happy meal and then we see her other happy meal, Tommy Lee driving with his dick out. Pamela Anderson gives Tommy Some road head as he drives (and somehow they manage to video it). Road head is over by 5:16. Painfully short. The rest of the video has Tommy just driving and talking (we can’t hear his audio). It’s a lot of shit to wade through to get to a few moments of a blow job.

Another painfully short part, weighing in at just 3:16. It starts again with Tommy’s house (enough with the damn house!) and Tommy’s dogs. It’s more house, and more dogs. There is no sex in Part 5, no Pamela Anderson, and no reason to watch it.

Final Thoughts:

It’s kind of ironic that one of the most famous celebrity sex tapes has, maybe 5 minutes of total sex in the whole tape, and at that half of it is oral. Looking at this tape now outside of the context of when it was released, it would be hard to imagine ever recommending anyone buy this. The sex isn’t great, it isn’t well filmed, most of the action is in close up and the non sex parts of this video are completely worthless. If this were any sex tape, we would easily give it our lowest “Skip it” rating.

But this isn’t any ordinary sex tape is it? And watching it now, understanding the context, you an see how big a deal almost no sex was. This tape didn’t just make an impact, you can single handedly trace back key things in our pop culture to its release. It changed the way people look at stars and their sex lives.

The key elements are all there, Pamela Anderson is one of the great blonde bombshells to ever live and this video was taken at the height of her prowess. Admittedly Tommy Lee does have a borderline pornstar cock, and he has no compunction about showing it off to the home audience.
