The Movie:

Nightingale’s latest effort is Orgy Of Exes, a porno with a sort of plot in which beautiful Violet Monroe plays a messed up girl who just can’t seem to stop thinking about all of her ex girlfriends. She’s a bit obsessed with them, really, and yearns for them to be with her. We know this because her narration, which is actually quite well played from a voice acting stand point, tells us so. At any rate, she basically sits around thinking about them and fantasizing about them and eventually masturbating as her fantasy is played out in front of us in a massive seven girl orgy. That’s about it as far as the plot goes. But what about the sex? I knew you were going to ask that…

Scene 1 – Violet Monroe: This introductory scene that plays as the opening credits play across the screen features pretty Violet in the bathtub playing with herself while thinking about the other girls in the feature, who we see brief clips of. It’s pretty brief and more of a set up than anything, as after about two minutes it launches into Violet’s internal narration which explains how she can’t get over her many ex-girlfriends, which in turns sets up the next batch of scenes.

Scene 2 –Zoey Holloway And Nika Noir:When this second scene starts, the girls are already going at it, sucking one another’s tits very aggressively and getting pretty intense right out of the starting gate. You don’t always get the idea that they’re really into it though, more that they’re acting for the camera, but hey, they’re here. They rub their tits against one another and then take turns fingering each other and eating each other out. There aren’t many toys used here but there’s a brief bit of ass eating and the girls are nice enough to keep their fishnets on for the duration of the scene, which is a nice touch for those into such things. There’s also some scissoring here and a vibrator is used towards the end of the scene to get Nika off.

Scene 3 –Solo Play: This is kind of a weird scene in which we see very brief clips of all of the girls who show up in the last scene masturbating. It cuts back and forth very quickly and doesn’t stay on any one girl for very long and it intertwines with the next scene…

Scene 4 – Violet Monroe:... which has pretty redheaded Violet back in the bathtub. She starts touching herself as she thinks about the other girls, her masturbation intensifying as her fantasties becomes slightly more explicit. With some candles lit at the side of the tub, she’s obviously put some thought into getting the mood right. She starts off on her back with her legs spread but later gets on all fours and we’re able to watch her work her clit from underneath, which shows off her ass nicely. Violet’s a very pretty girl, it would have been nice to see more of her since she’s featured some prominently on the cover art. It’s a beautifully shot and sincerely sexy scene, very natural and not at all played up for the camera.

Scene 5 – Brianna Blair, Cadence St. John, India Summer, Jamey Janes, Lily Cade, Misti Dawn, Zoey Holloway: The fifth and final scene takes up about half of the movie, and in it we see the culmination of Violet’s masturbatory fantasies come to life as each one of her ex’s comes together in a room for a big old orgy. It’s no use providing a play by play here. Basically, each one of the girls shows up, gets naked, and they all fuck like crazy. Sometimes they break off into pairs, sometimes it’s little more than a seething mass of girls on top of one another. It too is nicely shot, and wonderfully lit, letting these ladies’ naturally appearing bodies speak for themselves. Most of the girls are heavily tattooed, which is a plus to some and a minus for others, but there are no implants here. A strap on is used at one point and there’s a lot of kissing alongside the licking and fingering that adds to the sincerity of it all. Glass toys are used, as is a white vibrator and a purple dildo.

OK, just how much mileage you’re going to get out of this release depends entirely on how much you enjoy really long lesbian orgies. The first real scene, with Zoey and Nika, feels flat, fake and staged. They look good but they’re not really into it as much as you’d want them to be. Violet’s solo scene is gorgeous and about as erotic as a solo scene can be – it’s beautifully shot and she just looks amazing, you can tell she’s really getting off on it and it’s the highlight o the feature. Unfortunately, it’s too short and we just don’t see enough of her. That leaves the orgy, which takes up over half the movie. The pros? It’s really nicely shot and each one of the girls looks great. There’s a good bit of variety in the cast and in what they do. The cons? It’s confusing to watch at times and it just goes on too long. I’m not one to normally complain about too many hot chicks having sex for too long, but here it is definitely a case of too much of a good thing.

Nightingale’s crew earns top marks for casting and cinematography and they really excel at creating a sincerely sexy mood and atmosphere, but even if this one is worth seeing (and it is), it’s a bit of a misfire. I appreciate their efforts to try something different and to break away from the established gonzo norm, but this doesn’t quite work, even if it will likely make you fall for Violet. Wow.

The DVD

Video:

This shot on digital video production looks pretty clean presented here in a reasonably stable 1.78.1 anamorphic widescreen transfer. There is some mild edge enhancement in a couple of spots and a noticeable bit of mpeg compression evident throughout in the darker scenes. Skin tones look nice and natural, the compositions are dead on, and aside from the fact that this digital video production looks considerably better than most modern porno movies tend to.

Sound:

The Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround track is quite sufficient. The narrated dialogue comes through cleanly and clearly as do all of the moans and groans. The background music used throughout the movie is classy and it also sounds quite good, it’s well balanced and free of any hiss or distortion. The audio is fine, good even. Definitely better than average.

Extras:

Aside from a pin up gallery and some contact info for the studio, Nightingale provides a bonus scene starring Brooklyn Bailey and Alexa James. Shot inside a hip apartment, it starts off with the girls fully clothed and examining some art but soon enough soon enough their tops are off and their pants are down and we’ve got some nice blonde on brunette action going on. They eat each other out and then use a wooden dildo on one another and then and old school vibrator, one of those huge ones. Brooklyn’s fake tits are a distraction, the scars are visible and they take away from things, particularly when you’re the type of fan who appreciates natural girls like those seen in the feature.

Final Thoughts:

Orgy Of Exes gets an A for effort even if the end results aren’t all that they could have been. In an industry that seems to thrive on repetition and recycling, it’s nice to see someone branching out and trying something a little bit different from the norm and the movie is definitely unique. It looks great and sounds good and has a whole lot of atmosphere to it, but it doesn’t quite deliver as much sex as you might want it too and the final orgy just goes on way too long. If you’re curious though, you could certainly do worse than giving this a look. Rent it.
