Extras: For me, the best extra was the 18 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Macdaddy that had most of the cast engaging in some hardcore action as well as tease. There was also a lot of time spent on the stills being taken of the cast with some interview footage to cap it all off with. I can't say that I was really into the 27 minute long Bonus Scene from ExxxtasyIsland but I described it below for those who care to know the details. There was a slide show, ten trailers, and a true double sided DVD cover for those who care as well.

Audio/Video Quality: Office Whores Behind Closed Doors was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color it was shot in by an uncredited director (listed only as Astrux) for 1st Strike, a subsidiary of Nectar Entertainment. The lighting for the scenes was generally decent and this kept the picture looking good in most of the scenes. The grain wasn't bad, nor was the video noise, and I saw no compression artifacts to speak of. The composition of the shots typically favored the ladies and enhanced their looks, though there were some parts that could've been edited better to pace the scenes more evenly. There was an emphasis on close ups and a moving camera that weakened the scenes but I remember going through that phase when I first started using a camera too. The 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo audio was almost average, with the tease portion of the scenes crowded by lame music and the rest of the vocals handled well enough for porn.

Body of Review: Astrux Entertainment has not been my favorite director (or group of directors if that's what the name refers to) for a number of technical reasons but largely due to the lack of heat provided in scenes attributed to him/her/it. Having seen some decent hardcore action from 1st Strike (the hardcore subsidiary of Nectar Entertainment), I put aside my previous experiences with Astrux in order to see some of the cast in Office Whores Behind Closed Doors, figuring it could still be a decent flick given the strength of the cast alone. Well, I was left hanging more than a little bit but a couple of scenes were pretty decent so it wasn't a total loss. There was no connection between the couples, no scenario set up (unlike the advertised comments on the DVD cover), and the horrid music during the tease made me reach for the mute button but here's a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting no condoms were used at all:

Scene One: Genesis Skye, a cute brunette I wouldn't kick out of bed, was up first as she teased the camera on a black couch in front of a red satin wall. The music was numbingly weak during her tease but it stopped for her to say "I really want to suck that big, hard cock." Apparently, the one she was referring to was missing so she settled for the average boner of Ethan Cage instead, going at it with a moderate amount of gusto. She smiled a lot and gave a decent barebones blowjob before he started banging her pussy, with her eventually showing some active riding skills when the reverse cowgirl started (but not before). It wasn't bad but had no chemistry or replay value, ending with her jerking him off to her face.

Scene Two: Riley Shy, the skinny redhead in blue on the left hand side of the front DVD cover, was up next as she followed the formula on and around a black leather bed. After the tease, she said nothing and wound up working with Richard Raymond/Kline. Her oral was also no frills but fair and the vaginal screwing was much like the last scene. I like Richard but his swordsmanship was on par with her mechanical ride, typically lacking any spark to make it special. When she was on top, she at least acted like she gave a darn but he appeared to be on the verge of going limp more than a few times; killing it for me in the process. The extensive use of close ups also harmed the heat for me and the two were clearly going through the motions, even when she finished him off with a handjob to milk a small load from his nuts.

Scene Three: Haley Paige, the hotty on the middle of the front DVD cover in red panties, was up next and I have to admit that she was looking good here. She had the kind of stripper next door look as she peeled off her clothing on a small bed and her blemishes were largely covered up by make up to prevent them from getting distracting. I'd have licked her fingers clean during the tease and my "peter meter" registered some actual heat from her as she diddled herself. Once again there was no tie in to the title when Reno magically appeared naked beside the bed, and she dutifully started sucking him off for no reason. She tried to give him a titty fuck but the angle was bad and she concentrated on orally slobbing the knob instead. Scene Four: Candy Manson, a new gal that reminded me a lot of Gina Lynn with her abundant make up, large implants, and lightened hair, was up next on a white leather couch as she followed the formula. She was wearing an all black outfit with nice black stockings and the music sounded kind of retro (still lame, but now including vocals, and sounding like it came from an alternative band). I like them built for comfort over speed so she appealed to me more than a little and her playful sense of oral was a step up from the previous gals. It wasn't great mind you but decent enough to enjoy on its own merits. This led to her giving a pounding vaginal ride worthy of her new found stature in porn, with PTM and the standard ending to the scene. In short, it was one of her better scenes; surprising me more than a little bit given the director's usual heat weakening style (and while I never forgot it was strictly a performance, at least she seemed to try to convince the audience that she was having fun).

Scene Five: Vanessa Lane, the hotty in yellow on the right hand side of the front DVD cover, has long struck me as an on again, off again performer whose scenes can be blazeningly hot or mind numbingly cold, depending on circumstances. The lack of vocals in her tease definitely impacted the heat of that part of the scene and she looked so thin as to be fragile but I was willing to stick it out (pun intended) and give her a chance just as I did with the others). There was no set up again and she wound up working with hairy Steve French but she seemed to passionately suck him off like he just won the lottery or something. It was a bit of an over the top performance (emphasis on performance) but she was giving more than enough reason to elevate the movie (with Candy's help) up a notch with her active performance. She did vaginal and anal with him rubbing out the load to her face, marking a decent ending to a mixed quality movie.

Summary: Office Whores Behind Closed Doors was worth a rating of Rent It thanks exclusively to the last two scenes (Candy Manson's scene and Vanessa Lane's scene) but slavering fanboys of the others might find something to appreciate from the others. The technical matters were greatly in need of polishing up but the BTS feature was interesting and added some value. While I doubt the folks at Astrux would listen to my advice, I can safely say that they aren't that far off from making some decent porn but typically, their best scenes appear to be the result of the performers who transcend the direction rather than benefit from it. In summary, Office Whores Behind Closed Doors was a flawed product but not without a couple of scenes worth your time, money, and seed but weigh your options since all of the cast have done much better in the past (Candy being a slight exception to this since she has only done a few moderately better scenes).
