Scene 1: Katie St. Ives and Karlo Karrera

Stormy Daniels does a great job at pacing the story, building it up to the sex. The acting is quite good and she uses humor to great effect. There’s also a difficult balance being pulled off when the scene has three separate boy/girl fuck scenes going on simultaneously but it also feels like a giant orgy.

Scene 4: Stormy Daniels and Steven St. Croix

Stormy doesn’t look as we’ve come to know her at the beginning of the scene. She’s walking through a hotel hallway without makeup, dressed as a businesswoman before she opens and envelope with a keycard and a bunch of money. There she pours herself a drink and gets herself ready. Daniels plays a call girl who is seeing her client Steven St. Croix for the first time.

In the three previous scenes, you see that Stormy Daniels is a very, very good filmmaker. Here, she cements her reputation not as just one of the best porn performers of all time, but also as one of the best directors. I don’t think I could envision another director handling it so beautifully or subtly. First, she allows herself to be first seen on screen without makeup. She’s still Stormy Daniels, so she is never not one of the most beautiful women in the world, but she lets the viewers watch as she gets made up and you watch the transformation. She lets herself be vulnerable in another way: by making a drink before St. Croix enters the scene. In each of the scenes before this one, the woman (or women) is making the first move, but here, a sex in a scene with a call girl in a hotel room is an inevitability and nothing is forced. The chemistry and lust between Daniels and St. Croix lets the scene come together and play itself out naturally. And it’s fucking hot.

The video is shot in anamorphic widescreen with a 1.78/1 ratio. The sound and video quality are both excellent.

The disc includes three bonus scenes from Wicked Pictures with stars of the film: Juelz Ventura and Bill Bailey from Spin Class Ass, Bailey Blue and Xander Corvus from Change of Heart, and Stormy Daniels and Michael Vegas from Switch. Final thoughts:

I’m starting to worry that if I heap too much more praise on this film, it’ll seem hyperbolic. But at this point it is my favorite film I’ve reviewed for Xcritic, by far, and one of the best adult films I’ve ever seen. I admire the filmmaking from Daniels who uses subtlety and humor to her advantage and in a way that a lot of her peers don’t. The actresses who appeared in the film are unbelievably sexy (my favorites were Katie St. Ives and Bailey Blue). The scenes work individually or as part of this compilation.

This DVD is highly recommended.
