The latest from director Robby D and Digital Playground's Cockasian series doesn't deviate from the formula that the first two movies in the series laid down, but that's okay - if it ain't broke don't fix it. Cockasian 3 looks excellent in this 1080p AVC 1.78.1 anamorphic widescreen transfer. There's an insane amount of detail present not only on the performers but also in the sets and backgrounds/sets used in the production. There aren't any issues at all with compression artifacts or edge enhancement while color reproduction and skin tones look excellent throughout. Eagle-eyed viewers may spot just a hint of shimmer here and there but you do have to be looking for it to notice it. This production looks quite impressive indeed.

Sound:

The sole audio track on this Blu-ray release is a 48 kHz 448 kbps Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound mix in English. The audio on this release is fine but it isn't as impressive as the transfer is. Dialogue stays clean and clear throughout and the levels are all properly balanced. The score sounds good and there aren't any problems with background hiss or distortion at all. The audio here won't blow you away but it certainly won't disappoint you either.

Extras:

The only substantial supplements on this release is the Behind The Scenes (7:12) featurette, presented in HD with a nice Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound mix. This isn't particularly deep but it does give us a look at what it was like on the set while the movie was being shot. Candid interviews are contained herein with some of the male and female performers, all of whom seem in good spirits and appear to be enjoying themselves. There's some alternate take hardcore footage in here as well that makes this worth skimming through.

Rounding out the extras are a still gallery of hardcore shots, trailers for a bunch of other Digital Playground DVD and Blu-ray releases, motion menus, Digital Playground contact info, and scene selection.

Final Thoughts:

Five scorchingly hot scenes are presented with excellent high definition audio and video for your Blu-ray viewing pleasure. The extras aren't anything special but the content is hot enough that it's not a problem overlooking that. Cockasian 3 comes highly recommended.
