Overview: This DVD features five erotic stories based on old times. The time periods seem to range from the 20's to the 50's, and have a very artisitic quality about them. Each of the performers are dressed in clothing that suits the time period they are representing. The color sceme of each scene is also enhanced to mock an old film style. The sex in each scene ranges from erotic/sensual to hardcore. It's definitely a unique adult DVD experience.

Scene 1: Lady in Red

The scene starts of with some haunting radio music as the camera focuses on a lady in red, specifically a lady in a red bustier. She is sitting in front of a dresser with a mirror fondling herself as memories of a past, or perhaps fantasy sexual encounter flash on the screen. At times the color of the scene mimcs that of old film quality, while other times it briefly reverts to black and white. The scene is very artistic both in visual presentation, and special effects. The lady in red enjoys a rather steamy threesome with two other gentlemen. This scene is far from softcore. In fact it's rather hardcore at moments. There's deepthroating as well as anal sex included in this scene. In the end one guy shoots his load onto the lady's pussy, while the other covers her breasts in his warm cum. I was really impressed after watching this scene. The artistic look into the past of porn made me feel like I was peeking in on an intimate moment from a long time ago. This was definitely one very impressive scene.

Scene 2: The Blonde

As the title of this scene suggests it features a blonde lady. The color scheme of this scene is accented in amber, black, and white. We (The viewer) find the attractive lady lying on her bed having flashbacks of an intimate encounter. The scene flashes in, and out of memories, and sexual positions shared by the couple. For the most part the sex is slow, and sensual. It's not as hardcore as the previous scene. There is some deepthroating, but that's about as hardcore as it gets. The rest of the scene is spent repeating sexual positions in flashback types of sequences. For this reason it seemed a bit drawn out to me. Visually the scene was as stunning as the first, but the repetative nature of the sex kind of dulled it for me.

Scene 3: The Brunette

The brunette in this scene seemed a little too hardcore for the part she was portraying. She had studs in her tongue, lip, belly button, and pussy. Other than those things she actually looked like she came from the past. Just by watching the scene it seemed to me like the brunette was playing the role of a call girl, and the guy was a cop (I couldn't tell because of the uniform though). The brunette was dressed in a very sexy outfit that included a black and white jacket, rose colored glove, and lingerie. The scene included some hardcore sex on the couch which ended with the guy coming on the brunette's butt. Like the scenes before, this contained an artistic style that was unique. The sex was interesting enough to keep my attention, and wasn't long or drawn out. I can't say that this was one of my favorite scenes, but it kept true to the artistic style the director was trying to achieve. For that reason I enjoyed it.

Scene 4: Girls in Red

This was the only girl on girl scene in the DVD. The color scheme for this scene played heavy on rich red, and black accents. Both ladies in this scene wore the same outfit. They both had matching red jackets with black lingerie underneath. Both ladies were also blonde. I've heard of lipstick lesbians before, and this scene definitely brought that term to my attention. In fact both ladies left lipstick marks on each other wherever they kissed, or licked. The lesbian sex in this scene was a little on the hardcore side. They used dildos, and even did some slobbering on each others pussy. Aside from the sex the two ladies also shared some french kisses. I'm not really a fan of lesbian porn, so I'm not going to lie and say this scene was great. I will say that for what it was, it was presented in a very artistic fashion that kept my attention regardless of the subject matter.

Scene 5: Venus in Furs

Like the scenes before this the title has a lot to do with the time period content displayed. This scene features a rather wealthy looking lady who is sporting a fur coat. She also has diamond earrings, and white lingerie to go along with it. The scene is scattered with the usual flashback sequences as the other scenes had, and also features a more vivid white, green, and amber color scheme than the rest. I believe it's because the time period being portrayed was a little more recent. The gentleman in the scene was dressed in old military attire from the past, and only pulled out his cock out of his pants to have sex. At one point I think he took off his military cap as well. The sex in the scene was fairly hardcore, and featured a wider variety of positions than the other scenes did. There was even some anal sex included. In the end the soldier jacked off a massive load onto the lady's pussy. I thought this scene was good, and it also kept true to the artistic nature of this DVD.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

This review was a first for me. I'm an artist, and love artistic expression in entertainment/media. Kendo along with his creative team made a masterpiece that definitely gives the viewer a semi-realistic look into what sex might have looked like in past times. Their artistic touch could definitely compete with actual movie special effects of today. Overall I enjoyed watching the whole thing even though some of the scenes weren't really my cup of tea. I was really drawn in with the artistic direction this DVD took. I think there's a little something in this DVD for both adult film lovers, and art lovers as well. If you wanna take a peep at some intimate encounters of the past then this DVD definitely delivers in that area. After carefully considering what this DVD offers as a whole I can honestly give this DVD the Xcritic Pick recommendation. I think it's definitely worth the money for the visual experience it offers.
