Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in the industry standard, 1.33:1 ratio full frame color with stereo English audio. It sounded a bit hollow at times with the music set a bit high but otherwise the audio wasn't much of a problem. The picture was somewhat weak at times and the dvd transfer was not the best (thankfully Vivid has been working on improving this type of issue in more recent releases). The picture was often faded or grainy with video noise problems throughout. Fans of Janine should note that a few scenes looked better than in other compilations.

Body of Review: Janine was one of Vivid Interactive's most popular contract star for a long time. Much of the reason for her success was her sexual energy and aggressiveness, usually taking the lead in her scenes, as well as her willingness to dominate her partners (including bondage style antics) beyond what was considered "Acceptable" by usual couple's porn standards. Those that know how much of her body is currently covered in tattoos (ewww) will appreciate her earlier scenes before she became an ink junkie for hire. The latest release by Vivid Interactive with her as the lead is Nasty As I Wanna Be: Janine. In the show, there were ten scenes, many of which were very well done, and fans of Janine may want to pick up this one rather than the many others on the market. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by movie, director, cast and action, noting that she liked women, used lots of toys, and rarely held back in her performances:

Scene One: Blondage 3: The Dresser: D-Paul Thomas: Janine and Randi went back at it with a little help by Julia in an office setting. It was also too short but had some spanking so I can't be too tough on it. There was a little bit of rimming and fingering of the ass before a technical DP on Janine. Yum!

Scene Two: Extreme Janine: D-Paul Thomas: Janine, Tia, Roxanne, Charlie, Randi, Stephanie, and Tye had a scene that lasted over a half an hour. The scene was a bondage style scene with Janine firmly in charge of her friends, several of which were tied up. I really liked the fetish apparel and the action was hot. I just wish they would've been a bit more hard-core about it all. Nonetheless, it was smoking with some spanking, flogging and toys.

Scene Three: Kink: D-Cleo Edwards: Janine, Corinne, and Racquel had a much shorter bondage scene this time. Janine was still in charge but most of the sex was oral and using toys. They did do some anal antics and the overall scene was warm.

Scene Four: The Secretary: D-Cleo Edwards: Janine and Inari, two of my favorite performers, did each other on a porch in the sunlight. Inari was young here and Janine had her dark hair with each giving and receiving lots of oral love from the other. I really liked the "71" they did (a 69 with a couple of fingers up Janine's ass) and the scene, while it looked crappy, was hot.

Scene Five: Where The Boys Aren't 12: D-Eddie Edwards: Janine, Kobe, and Alex, had a warm scene on a pool table that included a lot of toys. The gals enjoyed one another a whole bunch and were willing to take large dildos in their cookies to prove it.

Scene Six: Where The Boys Aren't 13: D-Eddie Edwards: Janine took her time with Raylene in this scene from the popular lesbian series. I've liked this scene in the past but it's been included too many times in other compilations to receive full credit. The two worked well together and fans of rimming and anal fingering will especially enjoy it.

Scene Seven: The Cult: D-Ralph Parfait: Janine and Charlie, two very attractive gals that always seemed to really like lesbian scenes, had a scene on a roof with a panty slave had to watch them go at it. They used a strap-on dildo and except for the flawed picture, it was fun.

Scene Eight: Pink Janine: D-Ralph Parfait: Janine and Randi, two gals that worked together a lot, had a scene at a bar with one another. The two did a lot of licking, particularly rimming, and used some toys on one another. It looked like a lot of fun.

Scene Nine: Girl Next Door: D-Toni English: Janine and Johnnie in a garage. this was one of the longer and more playful scenes of the show and was lots of fun to watch.

Scene Ten: Speedway: D-Ralph Parfait: Janine and her old partner (now Wicked Pictures contract star) Julia had a rough scene here with some dildo/vibrator action and hair pulling. Too short but fun while it lasted.

Summary: I've always thought Janine was one of the top talents in porn with a combination of sexual energy, attractive face and body as well as a willingness to expand the boundaries of those she worked with. More often than not, she came across as a total babe in complete control and this is why I think the DVD, for all its limitations, deserves a rating of Highly Recommended. If you hate Janine or lesbian sex with toys, pass this one up but the rest of you are in for a treat.
