Audio/Video Quality: The Letter A Is For Asshole was presented in the same 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen the scenes were originally shot in by director Erik Everhard for Jules Jordan Video using the MPEG-2 codec (sporting 480 resolution). The quality of the visuals varied a bit here but Everhard focused less on the technical matters instead of maintaining the usual sexual energy and chemistry. The lighting was decent and that eliminated most of the problems associated with gonzo productions, Erik's works virtually always a few notches above the competition from what I've seen over the years. The editing by Brad Stark could have used some polishing up but the basics were covered handily, the end result pretty close to what I expected out of the show. The bitrate was all over the charts here with much of the footage coming in around the 5.4 Mbps range but there were not a lot of compression artifacts present that I could see (there was some inherent grain at times though). The audio was offered up in 2.0 Dolby Digital English using 192 Kbps bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate but there was no separation noticed that I could figure out, and the dynamic range was pretty limited too; the scenes coming from quickly shot gonzo; the guerilla shooting style favored by pornographers everywhere.

Body of Review: Erik Everhard is a director distributed by Jules Jordan Video, the man also working in front of the camera to provide some of the hardest actual fucking you will see recorded in the industry. If you are one of those that hates seeing a fourth tier mope trying to use a semi-erect boner on a hotty all juiced up and ready to go, you will appreciate that not all meat puppets are alike; Erik a virtual Olympic performer by comparison.
