Extras: The best extra was easily the 18.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature. It showed the gals preparing for the scene (there was only one lengthy scene this time), goofing off, and having plenty of fun (with a lot of footage starring Jenna Haze). Otherwise, there were trailers, a photogallery, and a true double sided DVD cover (not just a bunch of boxcovers).

Audio/Video Quality: Miss Strap On was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director Daniel Dakota for Smash Pictures. The lighting was decent in most cases (not so much on the close ups where little light crept in from the overheads) with the action all taking place in a cavernous living room. The grain was minimal and the action was kept in focus though so much was going on at any given time that you just have to accept that you're going to be missing a lot of what took place if you have a favorite performer or two. There were no compression artifacts and the sheer magnitude of the scene involved so many permutations that the editors were forced to make numerous choices (some of which worked better than others). The fleshtones were accurate and the overall visual appeal reminded me of a feeding frenzy when buckets of chum are tossed into shark infested waters (well, at least to another shark). The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo English though the vocals were obviously recorded in monaural so no separation between the channels was present that I could tell (even when using headphones). The music was kept low key so it didn't bother me either.

Body of Review: Daniel Dakota first came onto my radar when he released Adam & Eve's The Contractor, starring Carmen Luvana. I thought he did a fine job and went looking for more of his work. Thankfully, I fond a new title released by Smash Pictures of his called Miss Strap On, a lesbian flick focusing on a single lesbian orgy that combined elements of Strap It On 3, Strap Attack 3, Strap Attack, and Girly Gang Bang 2, where ten ladies were placed in a large living room and basically let loose to have as much fun as they could with each other. There was a lot of licking and rubbing but most of the action centered on the use of sex toys, primarily strap on dildos, with the gimmick of a POV (point of view) "dildo cam" providing a bird's eye view of various dildos plunging in and out of the pussies encountered. Here's what the back DVD cover said about the flick):

"It's a swimming pool of girl-on-girl action, and you will get the chance to dive right in the middle of it. Everywhere you look there's some kind of crazy sex act. When girls are left alone they can be nasty. But when ten girls are left alone with strap-ons, watchout. This is as real as it gets. Nobody is faking, everybody has multiple orgasms. You'll be right up in the action. You might even get smacked by an ass or squirted on by a pussy. The stunning six feet two inch Emilianna wearing heels sports six strap-ons all over her body. You can only imagine what happens next. It doesn't stop there. See what it's like to be the strap-on with the Dildo-Cam. Up close and personal in your face we strap-on our camera and went for the wildest ride ever!"

The ladies were Jenna Haze, Samantha Ryan, Valerie Vasquez, Bella Star, Lexi Tyler, Cody Milo, Jade Starr, Emilianna, Tiffani DiGivianni, and Sammie Rhodes and the setting of the huge living room was such that I almost had flashbacks of the 2006 AEE Show where all the toy manufacturers were huddled in a large space downstairs from the main convention to showcase some of the best toys available in the entire world. There was no warm up or plot to get in the way of your fun this time, starting off right into the action where the BTS feature left off. The gals simply took on the "fuck or be fucked" attitude and moved about with various others with a wide range of toys to give each other pleasure. I liked the dildo cam used in multiple scenes as a secondary camera but it was mostly a gimmick that I'd hate to see used too often (any time something is interesting, the porn world tries to top itself by using it too much).

The action wasn't as hardcore and extreme as Belladonna: No Warning, Belladonna's Fuck Me, and My Ass Is Haunted showed fans of lesbian action but it was more in line with Big Toys, No Boys, (and harder than the work displayed in Where The Boys Aren't and High Def Lesbians). These reference points aside, many of the ladies present seemed to either get off or provide a solid floor show in that regard, going over the top more than I liked at times but trying to do so sparingly (they seemed to perk up when the camera got close from what I observed). The front cover shows you what the gals looked like so you'll know there was a nice selection of different types of gal although a few ethnic types would've gone nicely here too (Asian, Latina, and Blacks in particular).

There were all natural gals, bleach blondes, implant queens, and some gals that appeared to be somewhat new to lesbian movies. Tall Emilianna seemed to be as much a focal point as the repeated use of starlet Jenna Haze and the minor blemishes some of the ladies had did not impact their scene for me in the slightest. There was some PTM (pussy to mouth) and while I would have liked the show to last substantially longer than it did, it's probably better to have left me wanting more than completely satiate my libido altogether. Rating the movie is kind of tough because I tend to like more intimate looks at lesbian scenes with the occasional turn to the harsher stuff released by Evil Angel as directed by Belladonna. I'm going to split hairs a little bit and rate this one as Recommended for fans of lesbian antics in general, although much of the show relied heavily on mechanical performances since there was a lot of different things going on to provide solid replay value.

Summary: Miss Strap On reminded me a lot of the well received Cousin Stevie's Pussy Party; just without the contests and prizes since the large group of gals got together in a small space to have sex together. It wasn't broken up into definable "scenes" like most porn and there were numerous points of contention I had with the manner in which some of the action was recorded and/or edited, but I thought that the overall charm worked well for those of us that like so-called "vegetarian" porn which was why I rated it a Recommended this time. I look forward to seeing more releases of quality from Smash Pictures and director Daniel Dakota if this is the type of collaboration they've been able to achieve on their first movie together.
