A/V Quality Shot in HD. Presented in Dolby Digital, 2-channel, English.  There were a few annoying shadows in the second scene, but the rest was fine.  Most scenes took place in rooms with great natural light.

Preview Lesbian Beauties 9 continues the series' recent ethnic trend.  LB7 was all Black, and LB8 was interracial. Both were Highly Recommended by Xcritic reviewers. It revisits a previous success, LB3, also Asian, and brings back Jessica Bangkok and Mika Tan from that title. This time around, Dana Vespoli is the writer and director; Nica Noelle was at the helm for LB3.  Anything with Asa Akira on the cover has the makings of a very hot flick, add Bangkok, Keyes, and Star to the mix and I figured this title could not miss.

The View Starting out with one of the LB3 alumni was a good call.  Believe it or not, Mika Tan is over 40, but she's getting better, not older. In a tried and true seduction scenario, Mika is a teacher's assistant and Gia Grace is a college student whose frequent office office visits lead Mika to believe she wants some "help" outside of the classroom.  Gia makes the first move, leaning in to kiss her crush, but from there, Mika takes over, and tutors the younger cutie in the finer points of lesbian love.  This was a very subdued scene that I just couldn't get into.  Once the first kiss took place, it was as quiet as a library; some soundtrack music might have helped.  Both women looked great, and pleasured each other, but it was a low intensity tryst that might not be right for everyone.

The director makes a cameo here, waiting with Charmane Star for an exchange student to arrive.  When Marica Hase shows up at the door, speaking little English, Dana bails, leaving Charmane to entertain the visitor until her roommate, the exchange host returns.  Marica manages to tell Charmane she is pretty, and that's pretty much all the build-up there is as  they go from kissing to licking to sucking to switching.    I may be wrong, but Marica seemed G4P in this scene, making it look like typical girl girl action, rather than the more genuine approach Sweetheart has been known to strive for.  I'm not one to beat a dead horse, so I'll end with this: the next time I see 'Marica Hase' in the credits of a girl/girl movie, I'll think twice, and thaen a third time.

Failing to record a scorching scene with the nastiest and prettiest Asian in porn history would have been difficult.  No worries, as Jayden Lee did her part too and delivered a very sexy, intense scene featuring two pearls of the Orient.  Asa Akira portrayed a photographer, set for a shoot with an up-and-coming actress.  Jayden's lateness brings a rebuke from Asa, causing her to reconsider her obnoxious behavior. To show her gratitude for helpful advice, Jayden kisses Asa, and then does a lot more.  Their slim figures, were all over each other in a scene I hated to see end.  Easily the best of the movie, and one with a high stroke factor. They seemed like they wanted to devour each other, and it was great fun watching them try.

Jessica Bangkok was in Lesbian Beauties 3.  London Keyes was not, but does her best to make up for lost time.  Jessica and London have been in senes together before, but judging by this scene, not quite as often as they would like.  The two women really like each other and know the little freaky things to do to get the other off. With London, you'll have some ass play, rimming and such, and Dana Vespoli did well to get plenty of shots of these two thicker bodied women from behind.  This scene was the second best, just a little behind the previous one.  more of what I was hoping for when I selected this title.

Review The names you came for delivered the goods, as usual.  The first scene was a little too slow and subdued for me, but I'm not a lesbian. It's probably a better view for a couple.  The second scene was a fail; Marica Hase is now on my must-not-see list.  Thankfully, the last two scenes were erotically charged, passionate romps with more than enough fuel for any stroke session.  In the rare niche of ethnic lesbian films, Lesbian Beauties 9, Asian Beauties is Recommended, highly if you're a big Asa Akira fan, as her scene was another stellar performance from a mega-star in her prime. I couldn't give this film the higher rating because the second scene was so weak it felt like a movie with only 3 parts.
