She has become a very good lead actress in romantic comedies. Janet Mason is also noteworthy as Barrett's mother. She comes across as very caring. Furthermore, the male leads are quite good too. Barrett Blade makes a turnaround in his character's persona that in the end, the viewer finally likes him. However, Eric Masterson's character is more of a mixed bag. He is both annoying and caring. It's like a Jeckyl and Hyde comparison. Thus, it's difficult to judge him which is good since cable guys in real life can be annoying when they don't show up on time. .
