Audio/Video Quality: Fetish Fantasies 1 was presented in anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Mason for Erotica X. As with Mason’s other “erotica” works, the camera work by James Avalon and Alex Ladd had a different style, more lingering, more of an artistic feel in part due to the editing by Royson Hall, and less of the graphic sex that I adore about her hardcore works but still offering the lovely cast a lot of light, good framing, and accurate flesh tones to look their best. There were some compression artifacts but they were not voluminous by any means, the visual elements nothing to complain about for the most part. The aural aspects of the movie were similar in that they offered 2.0 Dolby Digital, the music dominating over the minimal vocals with some ambient noises heard from time to time mixed in.

Body of Review: Mason is a popular director whose hardcore works have appealed to raincoater gonzo lovers for years now, the gal offering splendid tease, solid technical values, and some of the finest casting to be found in her showcase efforts. While most fans certainly appreciate her hardcore work the most, Mason also offers more sensual movies that appeal to those who don’t watch much porn, separating the two by placing her softer work under the label Erotica X. Other than at award voting time, I generally miss out on most of the soft stuff but one came in that struck my fancy, a title called Fetish Fantasies 1, the four scenes starring attractive ladies like Mia Malkova, Jessie Andrews, Anissa Kate, and Ashlyn Molloy, with a light BDSM theme too, taking advantage of the mainstream Hollywood release of 50 Shades of Grey. While I did not expect a lot of really hardcore fucking and abusive fetish action, the trailer led me to think this one might offer something a bit outside the norm so I decided to check it out, the results pleasing overall. Heres a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: I Belong To Him: Jessie Andrews, an adorable girl next door type with light hair and an all natural body, was up first as she walked around a luxurious mansion in nothing but her shiny black stripper shoes, the music and visuals establishing a smooth pace as a well dressed Mick Blue entered the upstairs room. They made eye contact and he caressed her body, moving his hand down to her hairy snatch to stimulate her cookie before he selected a few accessories for her to wear. Summary: Fetish Fantasies 1 by director Mason for Erotica X was interesting visually as it had the men dressed up and in control (ala “50 Shades”), a slow, seductive approach to the tease and sex, and largely white backgrounds while the attire was primarily in black, the stark contrast between the flesh tones and clothing to the background lifting some of the images off the screen to a degree. While I think I’d like to see the harder sex Mason uses in her premium efforts applied to this sort of thing, I honestly believe the movie earned a very respectable rating of Recommended for a general audience, the heat from the four scenes easily surpassing that of the mainstream movie making waves of late. In short, Fetish Fantasies 1 was a good selection of BDSM-lite encounters starring such attractive women as Jessie Andrews, Mia Malkova, Ashlyn Molloy, and Anissa Kate, even some of the men a major upgrade for the Erotica X series with Manuel Ferrara and Mick Blue leading the way so check it out and see why so many appreciate Mason’s lighter works too, I just with the extras had been better and the tease longer to make it even better.
