Audio/Video Quality: Katsuni Vs. Melissa Lauren: Battle of the Sluts 2 was presented in a crisp 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen color (or, as in the case with the older scenes, letterboxed) as shot by director Manuel Ferrara for Evil Angel using the MPEG-2 codec for the standard definition release with 480i resolution. The colors were accurate as could be thanks to great lighting and steady camera work, even the editing looking like it received an upgrade. The level of detail was also a strong point with the ladies all looking optimal and there was little grain except for the scene in the garage at night with Jamie Elle, the daylight scenes outdoors the best of the lot by far. The video bitrate hovered on the mid end, often in the 3.4 Mbps area or better, the show among Manuel's best looking works to date. In short, whatever technical limitations were present were not erection killing even if a guy like me wants significant improvement. The audio was presented in the usual 2.0 Dolby Digital English using the 192 Kbps and 48 kHz sampling rate; sounding almost average compared to the video as all the gals could be heard (though the lack of separation and limited dynamic range could also be worked on).

Body of Review: Manuel Ferrara has had one of the most successful track records of any director joining Evil Angel in recent years, the charisma and enthusiasm the guy brings into every scene making it difficult to resist the quality of his lady friends. Well, like many others in the industry are now doing, Manuel offers up some of his best scenes in Katsuni Vs. Melissa Lauren: Battle of the Sluts 2, the compilation alternating between the two ladies in some of their very best work to date. Katsuni was known under her previous name (which she was forced to change over a court battle by some asshole) but regardless of any name, the scenes represented a diverse selection of sex, some of it qualifying as circus act sex at that, with the added chemistry both shared for the director. In terms of quality sex scenes though, this one surpassed the previous entry in the series, Jenna Haze Vs. Naomi: Battle of the Sluts 1, thanks in large part to the performers themselves. In short, Katsuni Vs. Melissa Lauren: Battle of the Sluts 2, like Jenna Haze Vs. Naomi: Battle of the Sluts 1 before it might not have been the most technologically advanced release of the year but it sure had some hot fucking to appreciate.
