The Movie:

One hundred and three entries later and Hustler's Barely Legal is still going strong. This latest entry does absolutely nothing to break the mold and delivers pretty much exactly what you'd expect an entry in this series to deliver at this point in the game, but it does it well. The last two scenes are kinda-sorta interconnected which is something new I guess, but the spirit remains the same - young, natural girls getting down and dirty. Hustler's standard five scenes per feature rule applies here as well, so without further ado, let's get down to it:

Scene 1 - Tiffany Tyler And Seth Gamble: After lovely dark haired Tiffany is done playing with her dog, Seth shows up to give that puppy a grooming. Tiffany, however, forgets to put clothes on and so he decides to concentrate on her instead. They head into the bathroom and make out. He fingers her and she polishes his knob for a few and then seems quite happy to let him return the oral favors. She bends over the counter and he fucks her from behind and then he sits on the side of the tub and she rides him cowgirl style. Barely Legal #103 looks good in this 1.78.1 anamorphic widescreen transfer save for the fact that some of it appears to have been shot with some intentional softness in mind - you'll notice this in the outdoor girl/girl scene. This reduces detail in some shots. There aren't any issues at all with compression artifacts or edge enhancement while color reproduction looks quite natural. Eagle-eyed viewers may spot just a hint of shimmer here and there but you do have to be looking for it to notice it. All in all, this disc offers up a pretty decent transfer.

Sound:

The sole audio track on this DVD release is a Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo Surround Sound mix in English. Dialogue stays clean and clear throughout and the levels are all properly balanced. The score sounds good and there aren't any problems with background hiss or distortion at all. The audio here won't blow you away but it certainly won't disappoint you either.

Extras:

The only really substantial extra on this release is a Behind The Scenes (21:46, fullframe) featurette. It's pretty much just a general assemblage of random 'fly on the wall' moments with some light interview bits thrown in here and there, though if you have the patience or inclination to sit through it you'll find a couple of amusing moments. All of the girls from the feature except for Cali are included here, and they do show off their fun bits for the camera a bit, so it's definitely worth skimming through for that reason. The Barley Legal: How It All Began (5:00) featurette that Hustler has been tossing onto discs in this line for the better part of a year now is also included.

Motion menus, trailers, a still gallery, contact info, and scene selection round out the supplements on this release. All of the extras are presented in standard definition.

Final Thoughts:

Fans of the series will dig this, but those looking to try it out for the first time could certainly find stronger entries to start with. That said, while this entry may not set any records it does deliver what it promises and it does so with enough heat and steam to matter. A solid rental for those who aren't quite sure, fans of the line can consider Barely Legal #103 recommended.
