Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color. Like a number of recent Vivid Interactive releases, it looked a bit off in terms of the color, in having too much grain (usually as a result of a lighting issue but not always), and a soft focus a number of times but it wasn't too terrible. The audio was presented in stereo English with droning music and vocals that weren't quite mixed right but the other aspects of the show seemed pretty good. I saw no compression artifacts on the DVD transfer and there were no obvious audio dropouts either.

Body of Review: Feature porn is one of my favorite sub-genre's of adult material, at least when done right. Perhaps it's the combination of a story, as with mainstream entertainment, and the graphic sex acts, as with gonzo, that make well done features interesting to me but the bottom line is that most such releases lack a whole lot in terms of story. Other times, the story is actually pretty good but the sex suffers. In Vivid Interactive's latest DVD release, Match Play, director Paul Thomas (credited under one of his many aliases) shows the story of a female investigative reporter (played by Taya) who looks into the wonderful world of exotic oil wrestling. If you like watching attractive women playing in oil in front of others, you'll like this one despite its technical flaws. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action:

Scene One: In what started off as individual gals masturbating in the locker room, Lezley, Tanya and JT, combined for a lesbian threesome with lots of toys. They had lots of oral (of course) and the vibrators too play with one another as they very vocally enjoyed each other's company.

Scene Two: Ataria, a blonde with two big tattoos (with a performer name I'd have given my kid twenty years ago) did Eric on the bar after waitressing for him in tight shorts and a halter-top. She had some minor blemishes but seemed to have a decent time giving and receiving head here. She then rode him in a few positions before taking a pop shot to the mouth. It wasn't a bad scene.

Scene Three: Brooke, looking really cute in her red bikini, Felicia, another sweety, and Anthony, looking like a bruiser, had a scene in the ring. It started off with the gals warming up with a wimpy dude (Tony) but the oil-wrestling gals showed Anthony they had what it takes to keep up. The sex included oral and straight sex but was fun the way they bounced around.

Scene Four: All the female cast members got in the ring and wrestled each others clothes off but in the end the only ones having real sex were Taya, Evan and Eric. It was oral and straight with both of them rubbing out loads on her body to finish. It was a good scene with plenty of heat.

Scene Five: Taya and JT danced on the corporate boardroom table for the non-sex cast, getting themselves worked up. Herschel joined them and the ensuing action included oral and straight before he blew his small load on their asses.

Summary: This was not the best release from Vivid in terms of technical values since the picture often looked weak but the sex, however limited, was a lot of fun. I would've loved to have seen an extended version of scene four with the entire female cast in the ring getting busy or an extended version of scene three but I can accept things as they are. I'm rating the DVD as a Rent It but I'm sure it would be worth more to fans of Taya.
