The Movie:

Everything old is new again! This recent effort from director Benny Profane is set in the south in the late 1800s where Stagger Lee manages an erotic burlesque club. He's not only the proprietor of this fine establishment, however, he's also one of its best customers as he tends to enjoy sampling from the talent pool he's built up from the local showgirls.

Each of the six women in his employ - Sasha Grey, Page Morgan, Marie Luv, Satine Phoenix, Caroline Pierce and Hailey Young - have their own unique sexual specialty which ensures Staggers' financial success. Jealousy starts to set in, however, when a man named Billy Lyons shows up on the scene and begins to make trouble for Stagger and his girls...

Plot comes second to hot, sweaty sex in this feature, so let's get right down to business:

Chapter 1 - Sasha Grey And Marcos Leon: When this scene starts, Sasha and Marcos are in bed together making out. How does it all stack up? Bullets & Burlesque is excellent! The sex is hot, passionate, and very well shot and the whole feature has a nice atmosphere that's only enhanced by the score and the colorful lighting and costumes that are used throughout. The plot is no great shakes but it serves its purpose and moves the movie along from one sex scene to the next, which is really the whole point anyway. All in all, this one works and it works well.

The DVD

Video:

Bullets & Burlesque is presented in a spiffy 1.78.1 anamorphic widescreen transfer with very nice color reproduction and realistic looking skin tones. There's a pretty solid level of detail in the picture and the video quality is quite good. Black levels stay strong and don't break up and the colorful costumes and sets are really brought to the forefront of the image without looking oversaturated or blown out of proportion.

Sound: 

The English language Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo track is pretty good. The score is mixed in with the minimal dialogue and various sounds of sex that emanate from the performers as they do their dirty deeds. No problems with hiss or distortion to report here and the levels are all well balanced.

Extras: 

First up is a bonus scene starring Carmen Luvana from Lady Scarface. Her male co-star plays with her big fake tits to start and then fingers her. She blows him and he fucks her doggy style on the couch. He lies on his back and she rides him reverse cowgirl style, then cowgirl style and then they both role on their sides for some spoon fucking. Final Thoughts:

Sexy gals in lingerie never go out of style and while Bullets & Burlesque might subscribe to an old school aesthetic, make no mistake about it, the hardcore sex in this feature is pretty steamy stuff - and it's well shot at that! Adam & Eve's DVD won't blow you away with tons of extras but it looks good and it sounds good and this one comes recommended.
