Audio/Video Quality: Big Anal Asses 3 was presented in a crisp, anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Mason for Hard X. Mason handled all the camera work here, the editing by Royson Hall polishing up the footage nicely. The music was somewhat repetitive but the vocals, as limited as they were, were easy to understand and suited the visual aspects of the show, the lack of a continuous company watermark on the lower right hand corner of the screen definitely helped minimize distractions. There was some aliasing and compression artifacts observed on my big screen television but the flesh tones were accurate and the formula mixed things up a bit to keep me guessing. The standard definition of the DVD is supposed to pale compared to the high definition version available online but the video bit rate was decent enough with a 720 x 480 resolution, the AC3 audio codec clocking in at a bitrate of 192 Kbps.

Body of Review: Mason is a popular female director whose Hard X line is one of the most well received in all of porn. While it has been covered here with a glowing review, Big Anal Asses 3 was worth a second look, the cast of ladies alone meriting additional attention. I didn’t get to see the second volume of the series but found the opening volley to be quite appealing, Mason showing why her work is worth more than just quick looks by fawning fanboys, her hardcore material able to withstand actual critical analysis unlike so many of her peers. The featured act this time was certainly seeing big booty babe Keisha Grey with Manuel Ferrara in her first anal scene, the gal garnering her spot on the cover for giving the ass up here. Of more interest to me was seeing Kelsi Monroe, Mia Malkova, and Mandy Muse show their growing ease with backdoor fun, some of the men like Erik Everhard and Mick Blue, also considered upper tier performers.

In short then, Big Anal Asses 3 was a fine gonzo outing centering on a quartet of attractive ladies opening their asses with some active riding, director Mason again showcasing fine eye candy as they become increasingly popular with the fans.
