Audio/Video Quality: MILF Thing was presented in the same 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen color it was shot in by director Chris Rolie for release by Jules Jordan Video/Cruel Media. I appreciated the widescreen shooting here as it opened up the scenery on my widescreen television though to be fair, it really did not do some of the settings justice so I suspect it will be a matter of time before Chris gets used to the format. The lighting of this gonzo production was slightly on the low side, leaving some shadows, grain, and minor video noise as a result. The composition of the shots was as good as Chris’s previous work that I’ve come across, combining the usual raw energy and some decent technical values; albeit with a shaky camera at times (though somewhat less shaky than usual). The tease footage looked really good though and shaky or not, I found it good looking most of the time. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital encoded English (with a bitrate of 192 Kbps) but even listening through headphones or playing through my 5.1 home theatre system, I simply could not hear anything substantially different than what must have been picked up by the built in microphone on the camera. The vocals were usually hollow and whatever language the gals typically speak, it was not English so there was a lack of dirty talk by all of them but the director did not dominate the vocal track like he usually does and I was appreciative of this fact.

Body of Review: Chris Rolie is one of the directing names for a guy that brings hardcore European porn to the world via Jules Jordan Video and his Cruel Media label. I like some of his stuff but in all fairness, he is more of the “abuse porn” kind of director and that really does little for me when I hear him denigrating the ladies or ordering the men to slap them around. His latest title to make it my way was MILF Thing, a show offering up seven scenes (one of them being a bonus scene unique to this DVD) of older women from Europe in the usual situations with the same cast of thugs Chris likes to select. I think I was sent this one because of my affinity in the past for a couple of the ladies when they were in their respective “primes” but I cleared my head in order to give the movie the fairest review I could despite my misgivings for the director’s way of shooting explicit sexual contact between the performers. That said, here is a glimpse into the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Dora Venter, the hotty seen on the lower left hand corner of the front cover, was up first as she stripped off her clothing, masturbated, and ended up with Anthony Hardwood in slave boy fetish attire. He claimed to be scared of her and the costumes did not quit as Frank Gun, Mugur, and Nick Lang, were also in silly attire (the poor man’s Batman outfit was hilarious).
