Audio/Video Quality: Maddy O’Reilly’s Submission was presented in anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Maddy O’Reilly for Metro/Deviant Entertainment. The director of photography was Anton Slayer and editing was credited to Mike Quasar, some of the lighting choices were questionable in terms of the resulting shadows, the artistic decision presumably Maddy’s though Anton does similar stuff all the time too. Some of the edits were abrupt as well though again, as a matter of taste alone, the visuals did combine well with the aural components of the production to lend it a creepy feeling at times conducive to the BDSM theme of the day. Aurally, the movie was presented with 2.0 Dolby Digital sound using a 224 Kbps audio bit rate, the vocals minimal other than the usual moaning with a greater emphasis on the music which was not credited at all. Together, the technical aspects of the movie did lend themselves to the advertised “darker side of entertainment” logo on the front cover.

Body of Review: Maddy O’Reilly is an attractive performer who is now starting to gather credits as a director, her first full fledged movie listing her as such coming from Metro’s Deviant Entertainment line with Maddy O’Reilly’s Submission. Maddy has had a great year in front of the camera and getting co-directing credit for another production has not hurt her coming out of her shell in the slightest, her performances showing her gaining increasing amounts of confidence over some of her earliest works. This time, she stars in a single scene out of the four provided, ladies such as Skin Diamond, Veruca James, and Bailey Blue (as Dahlia Sky) each getting their own BDSM themed tryst too. Sadly, there was no provided BTS footage showing Maddy in a directorial role here so there really wasn’t anything to tie her down to what level of direction she gave (in the past, we’ve seen ladies credited as director who were essentially wardrobe clerks that were never even present on sets just as we’ve seen directors who handled almost everything but were not credited in the slightest) but I suspect future projects will change that fact, especially if she continues at Metro as a credited director. That said, the darker themes of ladies giving up control to men who treated them harshly were aptly addressed here, each of the ladies looking good as they were put through their paces. Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Veruca James, a curvy brunette with a nice ass, was up first in a cage, finger spreaders placed on her hands to limit her mobility. For completists of the ladies scenes, this will definitely merit being a “must have” for your collections but for a more general audience that might be BDSM curious, I’d suggest it as a solid Recommended. The ladies looked suitably scared during their scenes and they were abused more than some of the lighter titles released by the company previously, Maddy herself providing the most strokable scene of the quartet though the others had some replay value as well. In short, Maddy O’Reilly’s Submission was four scenes of BDSM action and Maddy’s first complete directorial credit, the technical aspects needing some polishing up but the movie well worth checking out all the same.
