Extras: While there were trailers and a photogallery, the primary extra was a 44:17 minute long Behind the Scenes feature full of all the goofiness one might expect from Dane’s directorial debut. It was entertaining and added enough to make the show well worth picking up.

Audio/Video Quality: Tosh Porn Oh was presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Dane Cross for Vivid via their distribution deal with Sunlust Pictures. This being quite a departure for them in terms of hiring an outside director, giving him credit for it, and allowing the show to be a parody sparks additional interest for me to follow them but let me discuss the movie in hand as it were. The camera work looked a bit on the rough side at times, as if a modest handheld consumer unit was deployed where the footage was cleaned up by the editing of Lance Longstrong. The visuals were not unlike those from the Comedy Central show though, maybe even a bit too crisp for the internet footage pokes at times, but overall it had that basic cable “look” to it. The sex scenes were on the choppy side and could have lasted longer but otherwise, I was surprised at how well handled the technical aspects were done this time. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English using a 48 kHz sampling rate and 256 Kbps bitrate, the vocals clear but the silly parody songs by Richard D. Jamz making me laugh out loud (admittedly, I’m a fan of parody songs from before Weird Al Yankovic was a name so your mileage may vary). In any case, the studio audience noises were also similar, if understated, and with a bit of tweaking, might make a follow up even closer to the original but I enjoyed it just the same.

Body of Review: Dane Cross has been something of a mope in porn compared to bigger “name” males for much of his career but thanks to numerous roles in features, vignettes, or other scenes where he was allowed to show his acting chops, he has been on the rise (no pun intended) compared to many of his otherwise nameless peers. Now, thanks to a distribution deal by Sunlust Pictures and Vivid, Dane has become a director for the very first time with a parody of his own called Tosh Porn Oh. For those that do not follow the relatively obscure shows on the cable network Comedy Central, this is a parody of the Daniel Tosh show, “Tosh.0”. The show takes various clips off the internet and the comedian/host tosses in various degrees of commentary that ranges from brilliantly funny to “isn’t your 15 minutes up yet?”, the show apparently a hit in a young age demographic (something like males under 20). Daniel often comes across as a huge douche bag which was surprisingly well played here by Michael Vegas, another up and comer in the porn world. I’m not going to ruin the skits and clips for you other than to say the hit to miss ratio was better than the mainstream cable show (at least the handful of episodes I’ve watched of late). The back cover described the movie like this: “At last, an episode of Tosh showcasing clips too hot for TV! Dane Cross and Xander appear as Leroy Jenkins & the "Star Wars Kid" as you've always wanted to see them having raunchy sex with hot dirty broads! Lily Labeau, Georgia Jones and India Summer pay homage to some of the internet's biggest viral videos. Rachel Roxx and Heather Startlet give viewers a brown "surprise" in their own version of "2 girls 1 cup." Misty Dawn demonstrates the proper way to give a "dry blowjob" and Skin diamond shows us exactly "what what" is in her butt. Backed by Michael Vegas as Tosh, you won't know whether to laugh, wack off, or both. Guest starring Ron Jeremy, Sinn Sage and Peter O'Tool, this comedic feast comes with all the trimmings, including a surprising set of sexy DVD extras. Guess what comes next? It's probably you!” Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: India Summer, one of the hottest MILFs in porn these days, was up first doing a Star Wars dildo wielding geek played by Xander Corvus. Summary: Tosh Porn Oh by director Dane Cross for Vivid might not have had a big budget, might not have best utilized hotty Misti Dawn (in a non-sex role?!?), and might not have been a perfect copy of the original cable show but it was otherwise superior to 80% of the current parody crop as a feature & the sexual trysts had a lot of strokability, chemistry, and replay value. Lily LaBeau and India Summer led the way in terms of offering the best of the sex but the solo scene, the lesbian act, and the interracial bout of boning with our host were all decent too so I rated it as Recommended or better, depending on your tastes. In short, I like being favorably surprised and Tosh Porn Oh did the trick as a parody as well as a sex flick so before you automatically judge it by the cover, take a look inside. You just might find the level of quality to your liking as I did. Good work Cross!
