Extras: The best extra on the first disc was the 34:17 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Ralph Long, introducing the cast and concept. There was then a couple of photogalleries, one for the BTS and the more traditional version so movie fans can see both sides of what happened before camera. The second disc began with an 18:16 minute long bonus scene from Superman XXX, Andy San Dimas sucking Ryan Driller’s super pecker. Audio/Video Quality: The Incredible Hulk XXX was presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen as shot by director B. Skow for Vivid Entertainment. With David Stanley writing the script and Skow on the production side, I figured this would be a solid action porn parody, the technical aspects handled very competently. The video bitrate hovered around 5.2 Mbps (when spot checked), it had the video look most porn is shot in, the special effects handled by someone uncredited showing at least a modicum of care (for a porn flick at least) to look like the original (albeit on a porno budget). The lighting was solid and there were a number of touches used to emulate the “look” of specific scenes from the original television pilot, some of the rougher edges polished up in post production by people like editor T-Squirrel Jones. There was a company watermark in the lower right hand corner though, a distinctive reminder of the company at all times. The audio was presented in a basic 2.0 Dolby Digital with a 48 kHz sampling rate and 256 Kbps aural bitrate, the vocals clearly heard regardless of the situation. The musical interludes sounded much like the original score from the 1970’s show too, another decent attempt at providing a better aural experience than is typically the case in adult flicks.

Body of Review: B. Skow is the best gonzo shooter of porn ever working for Vivid Entertainment, his feature releases also garnering some acclaim in recent years. One of the things that comes up a lot about him is his willingness to shoot longer sex scenes than any of his company peers, resulting in more fuck for the buck than you find at any of the remaining feature making companies. His latest venture is actually a parody in the form of The Incredible Hulk XXX A Porn Parody. Rather than stick to the comic book roots of the character or go with either of the big budget mainstream releases, Skow used the skills of the infamous David Stanley to pen a close enough version of the 1970’s television show pilot, Dale DaBone placed in the Bill Bixby role of Dr. David Banner while muscular Lee Stone was thrust into the Lou Ferrigno “Hulk” character. Unlike many other suck parodies, this was a straightforward tribute that sought to emulate the original but add sexual trysts to it, some of the campier elements kept to mimic the original. While not my favorite manner of parodying a show or movie, I knew that Skow was up to the task of doing it right, the resulting show providing plenty of fuck for the buck but also catering to the show’s fans, I admit to having not only seen the original pilot (and subsequent series) but also own the special edition complete series boxed set.

Some of the sex was handled very nicely but other scenes appeared so tacked on that I wondered if this was an exercise in duration. As anticipated, Skow shot the sex to provide longer than average scenes while still keeping much of the general feel of the original show pilot, the movie lasting well over four hours as a result. The pacing was at times uneven and the limited use of the brutal “Hulk” character seemed very retro by comparison, my preference would have been to either drop some of the theme elements or more readily convert them into sex that varied more, the movie still a nice first try for the popular director. In short, The Incredible Hulk XXX A Porn Parody might not have had the best sex the director has ever shot nor will it be accused of too much originality but the totality of the production was enough to merit inclusion in your collection if you are a parody fan or just like lengthy sex scenes with a variety of ladies to fill up your spank bank so give it a look.
