First Impressions:
It's really hard not to like the rowdy rap impresario Lil' Jon. With his pimp cup loaded with Crunk Juice (a clever copping of the California dance craze name) and his totally blinged out teeth, this spirited sprite of self-promotion is a jammin' joy to behold. He's hilarious when he wants to be, enjoying fame in a way that more celebrities should try to emulate. For him, life is literally one big pussy and he's gonna eat it all night long. Attending the 2006 AEE Convention/AVN Awards, we see several scenes staged for, and supposedly by Jon, many featuring famous faces in the African American end of the business. In addition, we take a brief tour of the AEE action, with the opportunity to see our main man hanging out with a genial Janine. Though we are supposed to believe that XXX talent Tommy Gunn is the posse's chauffer of choice, the rest of the scenes have a certain authenticity that makes you believe the basic premise - that this is smut made by the surreal superstar for his own personal pleasure (and, eventually, the world's enjoyment).

The Sex Scenes:

First and foremost, Lil' Jon DOES NOT appear in any of the scenes. The closest we get to seeing him copulate is when he lays in bed with a couple of clothed gals. Indeed, the real fuck and suck is handled by the professionals, and they do a pretty good job of it. Certainly, the glorified gonzo feel of the film - scenes being captured "as they happened" - makes for some rather sloppy shots. Framing and composition are both a problem, and just when we think we're ready for one kind of sequence, a whole other installment of action takes place. Overall, the boning is brash and aggressive, with the actors really giving it their all to ratchet up the eros. Sometimes it works. Other times, it's the same old cock and cunt cavalcade.

Scene 1: Mercedez, Cherokee

You can sure tell that Brian Pumper likes what he sees when Ms. Angel gives up the gratuity. This couple connects in a way that few hardcore performers ever do, and the sizzle and smoke that comes off of their pairing is incredibly sensual. Though there are not a lot of positions here (the duo actually start up during the babe balling in the scene before), these actors really get into it, meaning that we end up with a sensational sequence of prick in poon. The only downside to this dicking? The way the sequence is shot, we don't really get to see a lot of Ayana. It's mostly Mr. Pumper living up to his last name.

Scene 3: Angel Eyes, Fire

Lil' Jon obviously believes that a couple of freaky females getting it on is the ultimate in profitable porn parameters, because we get not one, but two sequences of ladies loving each other during this Party. The same sex situation is different here from the one we saw first in that it has (a) water, since it happens in the shower, (b) lots of soapy tits and sudsy snatches, and (c) a reenactment of that classic scene from The Ren and Stimpy Show. After getting good and worked up with the various hygienic elements in the bathroom, the ladies celebrate their lust by smacking their fabulously funky onions against each other. It looks just like the moment when, during the song "Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy", that infamous cartoon cat and dog do a devilish derriere dance. While there are lots of labial acrobatics, the ass antics steal the show.

Scene 4: Lexis Marie, Tommy Gunn

Here is the moment where this title blows its cover. Up until this point, we actually believe that Lil' Jon is having some manner of wild sex party in his room. But when he starts discussing about how everyone who works for him gets a showing of sexual gratitude, and the well-known knob man Tommy Gunn steps out to play driver, we realize we've been had - if only a little. Since Lexie seems to like the muscled meat puppet, who are we to complain? Though the limo setting is restricting, the pair gives us a lesson in using said limits to increase the arousal. By the time Tommy is pounding the living shit out of Ms. Marie, doggy style, we realize that we no longer care that Vivid Vegas Party has fudged the fucking.

Scene 5: Angel Eyes, Mr. Marcus

Here is our second reason for not caring about the creation of this title. Mr. Marcus and Angel Eyes deliver a devastating sequence of raw, realistic action, beginning slowly and working up to a powerful pop of pleasure. Along the way, we see two professionals connect like a couple, turning the art of sex on screen into a peek into their (proposed) private lives. Again, the number of positions is not plentiful, but these two make the most of them. Lost in what looks like legitimate lovemaking, we simply tune out the rest of the world and watch the closest thing to XXX perfection there is. Had the scene been a bit longer, we'd have a fabulous "5" on our hands. As it is, it's a very solid "4".

With some interesting backstage insights and a lot of fine fuck and suck, Lil' Jon's Vivid Vegas Party easily earns a Highly Recommended Rating. Along with the bounty of bonus scenes (always a nice carnal chaser to a fine bit of smut) and Lil' Jon's exuberant personality, you couldn't ask for a more interesting and entertaining entry in the adult DVD arena. Couples will completely enjoy the obvious passion between the performers, and even the most hard to please porn aficionado will love the backbeats used as underscoring. While flash rappers turning into flesh peddlers is nothing new in this day and age of cross promotion, multi-media mixing and the mainstreaming of porn, not everyone could pull off something this sensational. Whatever is in that Crunk Juice he's drinking, Lil' Jon sure knows his nookie. Here's hoping he's involved with more titles in the future.
