Extras: The extras were surprisingly robust with three additional scenes, a photogallery, and some trailers as well as a true double sided DVD cover. The first scene had Jordan in her “Princess” shirt teasing away like crazy for 8:10 minutes (and telling the world what a lousy driver she is having crashed her car). The second scene had Jordan Capri reading emails as she stripped for 6:58 minutes. The third scene lasted 7:51 minutes and had Jordan Capri making out with Taylor Little, a sexy little babe, in bed.

Audio/Video Quality: Lightspeed Sorority 1 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color it was shot in by internet company Lightspeed Media for distribution by Shane’s World. I hate the fact that the use uncredited directors since some of the scenes looked exceptionally good, far better than I anticipated in fact, and others had the shaky “Look what I got for Christmas” camerawork (those of you sitting through home movies a week after the holiday will understand what I mean). In any case, the lighting ranged from good to fair, reducing most of the grain and video noise to a minimum, though the resolution was on the light side; perhaps due to the bitrate falling well below 2 Mbps so frequently. The composition of the shots and abundance of close up shots were a nuisance too but it did have the benefit of making most of the scenes look truly amateurish (personally, I’d rather the ladies be amateurs and the technical masterminds be professionals but that’s my preference). Still, I can’t bag on the technical people here too much because the nature of the production(s) was such that it/they would be wasted on one of the newer high definition formats and the scenes were made for the internet in the first place. Also, to give you an idea of the quality, the footage was always better lit than what you’ll see from my pals at Bang Brothers (who make some very solid titles). The audio was presented in a standard 2.0 Dolby Digital English at the usual 192 Kbps. This was one of the weaker points of the production side of things since the vocals seemed to play second fiddle to the generic music and most of the talking sounded hollow with the exception of a couple well done scenes. It’s an area needing improvement but aside from no separation in the channels and a limited dynamic range, it wasn’t the worse such production I’ve heard in the last ten years.

Body of Review: Shane’s World has long been a favorite company of mine for the kind of fun productions they make, often using “civilians” intermixed with porn professionals, going on road trips, setting up parties, or other sexual situations that are not formulaic cookie cutter events. Not knowing exactly what to expect from any of their works, there is a heightened sense of anticipation you simply don’t get from generic or mass produced porn. Well, in the last year, the company has embarked on a bold new strategy to distribute the works of smaller companies; giving them the kind of freedom and exposure that might allow them to find a new audience; one that fits well with the long term plans of Shane’s World itself. One such company is the popular internet company called Lightspeed Media with their first release being Lightspeed Sorority 1. The movie is made up of seventeen scenes (three in the bonus section) where gals like Jordan Capri can either tease, masturbate, or have limited lesbian sex together with other attractive ladies that are youthful and appear to be coeds. If you’re burnt out on the same old “poke & tickle” you find at most companies these days, you might find this to be especially appealing, internet fans of the cast finally seeing the ladies on disc without the problems of downloading such footage. If that sounds interesting to you, here’s a quick look at the scenes using mostly pictures, noting that no condoms or population pudding flowed this time:

Summary: Lightspeed Sorority 1 as distributed by Shane’s World might not be a replacement for the scores of hardcore titles I regularly watch but I couldn’t deny the appeal of the young ladies having less explicit sex as a nice change of pace for my viewing habits. The technical matters were better in some ways than internet mogul porn sites and the ladies often looked very sexy (with Jordan Capri in the lead of course), the amount of fuck for the buck strokability and replay value easily enough to merit a rating of Recommended. In short, Lightspeed Sorority 1 was what I hope becomes a regular series showing “best of” scenes from the internet website run by the company and I have to give Shane’s World the nod for having the foresight for distributing them of late.
