The BTS feature is very good, and in depth, with quality that rivals others. It doesn't quite have the personality of other BTS features, but it's a serious production with interviews and the like. The extra scene is also appreciated and totally worth checking out!

Video/Audio:

The Rush is presented on DVD with an anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio. The film looks decent with a solid enough resolution and clean image, but many scenes are lit poorly, which leaves some of the detail kind of muddied. Black levels aren't anywhere near as rich as they could have been and all around the picture doesn't leave a strong impression. The same could be said for the audio since the quality is somewhat sporadic. There are times where it's sharp and clear, while at other points the sound seems muted somehow.

Review:

The Rush is one of those porn flicks that tries to be something else. This one has been produced like a movie with a plot, though it's really still all about the sex. Basically the premise here is that Lia's roommate turns up missing and she's willing to do whatever, or whoever, it takes to get her back. This is Lia's first DVD release and she's joined by a host of other starlets such as Shawna Lenee and Cindy Hope. Does the action live up to expectations?

Scene 1:

As the film opens up Lia is sent a video of her roommate all tied up and she's given instructions on how to get her back. The first person she must do is a delivery girl, Jayme, who arrives with some groceries a moment later. Some awkward conversation follows, but thankfully so does some incredibly hot lesbian sex. The girls strip down and Lia shows Jayme what-for with lots of heavy petting and a clitoral tongue lashing. The favors are returned and the real highlight comes with Jayme fucking Lia's pussy with a vibrator. Lia climaxes after a few minutes and her entire body quivers with pleasure. This was a great way to kick this release off, and served as a nice introduction for Lia to newcomers.

Scene 2:

The next scene didn't really feature Lia at all. Sure she arrived on set at the beginning and was there at the end long enough to steal a gun and a briefcase, but the sex had nothing to do with her. Instead we get to see Marie take on a hung guy after a little stripper action. The sex was pretty good, but nothing spectacular in all honesty. There were mostly traditional positions used here, but there wasn't much of a connection between the performers. It really just felt like a by-the-numbers sex scene from start to finish.

Scene 3:

The third scene followed the plot as Lia delivered the briefcase to a guy with a terrible accent and his hot girlfriend. Naturally a boy, girl, girl scene follows! This scene was arguably one of the hottest threesomes I've watched in a while. The girls are spectacular and spend quite a bit of time on each other, and they both show their interest in sharing their partner's cock. Lia seems more interested in the female persuasion here, but after the sex gets going for a bit she gets into the action quite a bit. The scene ends with the guy nearly cumming inside her and he pulls out just as he spurts all over the place.

Scene 4:

The fourth scene in The Rush once again features a couple that doesn't include Lia. This time around it's Kiera and her partner, who have some decent, but not great sex. I don't know what it is, but it seems that with the main focus on Lia the supporting cast just can't keep up in terms of quality. The direction feels somewhat static and the scene was just kind of boring in the end.

Scene 5:

For the fifth scene Lia is back once again, but this time it's for a boy, girl scene! Lia's presence on the screen is electric once again and the sex here is quite good. She and her partner have a nice bit of chemistry between them and the sex feels downright dirty. I will say that Lia seems like she's a little out of her comfort zone here, but she puts up with it well enough, though I never got the impression that she was really enjoying the sex.

Scene 6:

The final scene of The Rush sees Lia finally getting to where her roommate, Shawna, is tied up, but she finds herself captured in the process. She's then forced to watch as her roommate is fucked before her very eyes. The sex between the two is quite good, but then again Shawna is a seasoned pro and really knows how to work the camera. The trick is on Lia though, as the events that take place in the movie aren't quite what they seem. Ultimately this scene featured some great sex, but it wasn't the best of what this release had to offer.

Summary:

The Rush is a lengthy release that features a lot of sex, though it's not as balanced as one might hope. The quality varies greatly from scene to scene, and the sex fizzles as much as often as it entertains. Lia is the standout performer here, with Shawna being a close second for her scene. Otherwise the rest of the action is kind of dry and doesn't really convey a sense of passion or chemistry between the performers. Ultimately The Rush is best served as a rental.
