Audio/Video Quality: White Trash Nurses was presented in a letterboxed 1.78:1 widescreen color by director Lex "Jerome Tanner" Drill for Hustler Video using the AVC codec; a standard on Blu-Ray discs; the standard definition version in MPEG-2 with the usual 480i resolution compared to the 1080i resolution of the high definition version, partially made up for by the SD's anamorphic nature). The SD version of the title allows me to compare the two; it lacked the better resolution and purity of fleshtones this version had, the bitrate often hovering around 19.7 Mbps area compared to less than a third that in the SD version which seemed to hover around the 5.2 Mbps mark. The use of video bothers some folks but it suited the nature of the show far more than film would have and the contrasts were all enhanced by the high definition approach. There were no obvious compression artifacts, modest amounts of grain, and it came across as a lower budget fuck flick. The summation of the visuals is that they made the show look better than ever, my sole complaint being that the composition of the camera angles and editing, while good, did not seem to be the best way to enhance the looks of some of the ladies. The gals were all curvy in the right places, enhanced by the videography (Tanner's experience sure helped). The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo English using a 224 Kbps bitrate at 48 kHz in the Blu-ray version but the bitrate was a mere 192 Kbps in the SD version (very little difference). The vocals on the scenes were flat and easy to hear, not standing out but not weakening the effort compared to similar titles but not helping it either. In terms of upgrades then, the visuals got the largest boost by a wide margin with the aural capabilities once again cleaned up but only slightly (and in the BTS, I could barely hear the gals speak on occasion).

Body of Review: Lex "Jerome Tanner" Drill has had a long and distinguished career in porn, now shooting titles at Hustler Video. His latest title to come my way was thematically similar to a big hit, slightly reversioned to address the casting differences between the two projects. The name is White Trash Nurses, the ladies all sporting some garb that would lead one to believe they were employed by the medical field in some manner or another. With five scenes showing gals like Shawna Lenee, Lexi Love, and Riley Evans, the spank potential here was quite high. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Whitney Stevens, the fleshy brunette known for her active riding style, was up first as she applied her own brand of therapy to Sascha, the pair a natural couple to work together. The ladies were attractive enough but the editing made some scenes less balanced than others and even the best of them was scarcely good enough to serve as repeat spank bank material. In short, White Trash Nurses looked admittedly better in Blu-ray's high definition but neither version merited as much attention as the high end production from another company. As an interesting distraction until the next good release by Hustler comes out though, you could do far worse so check it out.
