Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color, the industry standard for decades. The picture had a few moments with weak lighting but overall, it looked better than a great many movies released this year (keep in mind that this was made six years ago). The grain and video noise was barely noticeable and the camera work wasn't bad. The audio was presented in stereo English but I didn't notice any separation between the channels, although the vocals were clear and there was no dubbing (funny in a way since many of the cast weren't all that talented with English). The music was droning and a pain but kept at a low enough volume to not be a bother.

Body of Review: Movies made years ago can be a mixed blessing, both in terms of cast and action. As the latest efforts by those in the industry focus on increasingly hard-core action (ass to mouth, double anal, and a host of other circus act sex), older movies often provide a respite from that type of stuff to allow for those who enjoy good old-fashioned fun sex. Older movies also allow us to see stars we haven't seen in many years, stars we often fell for time and again, due to a look, a style or something that tripped our trigger just right. The latest release in the VCA Classic line, L.A. Lust, is designed to provide some light sexual entertainment for fans of Helen Duval and Lea Martini (among others). It focuses on the exploits of two foreign couples that enjoy having a variety of sexual partners while on vacation. The plot was simplistic enough to be disregarded if you're aren't into feature porn and here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast, noting that the males were not easy to identify:

Scene One: Helen, the lead blond on the front DVD cover, and Lea, her bleached blond friend, had a scene in a motel room with Bruno and Zenza. The sex was limited to oral and straight but at least it looked good. The gals' slobbed the male knobs to coax out their loads at the end although Lea jerked her partner off to completion.

Scene Two: Liza, a cute brunette, took on a young guy in the bathroom, initially by blowing him and then by masturbating while he jerks off onto her stomach. It was a limited scene although she gave a good blowjob.

Scene Three: Stacy, a gal I haven't watched in years (she left porn after finding a wealthy guy to take care of her according to reports), had a scene with Nick at the beach. Her bleached blond hair, large implants, and playful attitude all helped make scraggy looking Nick pale by comparison as he ate her out. She gave an okay blowjob (admittedly, the worst blowjob I've ever received was better than the best root canal) and they screwed in a few positions before she took his load into her awaiting mouth. They appeared to have fun and that helped make it a good scene.

Scene Four: Anita, another blond with a sweet looking ass, took care of Mark in a bed next. She was blowing him with a lot of energy while bending over (what a great view of her ass too!) and he returned the favor with a few minutes of tongue tickling action on her pussy. They screwed in doggy style first, followed by a few more positions before he jerked his load onto her stomach. I didn't like how the ending sex was edited into the story line (interrupting sex for plot is not a good plan) but she was great here.

Scene Five: Helen, having watched most of the other scenes and obviously a bit horny, took on cab driver Marcus in the back seat while Lea watched them. There was oral and straight sex, with her blowing him to completion at the end of the scene. It wasn't bad but I'd have liked it better if it lasted twice as long.

Scene Six: Nyrobi, Helen, Sophia and Lea all had an orgy in the strip club with most of the male cast. The sex included some lesbian antics, oral to just about everyone, and straight sex by many of the guys with the gals before they all jerked their loads onto the faces of the women (with a few getting hand jobs by the gals). I'm usually not a fan of orgy scene, especially not nighttime or dark room orgies, and this was no exception.

Scene Seven: Lea and Helen, after a long bunch of days, decided to have an erotic lesbian scene together on a motel room bed. They licked one another all over, used a vibrator, and did some warm 69 action, with both appearing to get off at least once. I think Lea was the most attractive gal of the movie and only wished she had more time in the scenes.

Summary: I thought this was a cute movie, for all it's limitations so I'm going to suggest it as a Rent It to anyone unfamiliar with the cast and as recommended to fans of the cast. The picture looked great and the cast was pretty solid, although I wish the extras were better this time. I applaud VCA for releasing older titles that a number of fans may truly enjoy, even if they aren't all up to the usual standard of VCA's flagship titles, like The Ozporns Go To Hell.
