Extra's: The best extra is easily going to be the 12+ minute long lesbian bonus scene between Jenna Jameson and Krystal Steal. It seemed to be less of a scene than a photoshoot for Club Jenna's website (don't ask) but seeing the gals play with themselves and each other was a pleasant surprise given how rare Jenna works in front of the camera these days. There was also about 11.5 minutes of Behind the Scenes footage by Dic Tracy, bloopers, and deleted material but most of it seemed to be a tribute to Krystal rather than an attempt to document the making of the movie as other companies tend to show. I have to admit though; it was better than seeing a link to Club Jenna telling you to view the extras there as has happened in the past (and happens here in the trailer section of the extras). Lastly, there was a nice photogallery and a double sided DVD cover that were pretty cool and none of the spam that Vivid tends to force you to sit through on their DVDs (Club Jenna and Vivid are affiliated).

Audio/Video Quality: Steal Runway was presented in non-anamorphic widescreen 1.85:1 ratio. There was some interesting use of shadows and lighting but this added some grain in that got in the way of the fun. The up side for those who've watched some of the other releases from Club Jenna is that the use of special visual effects was greatly reduced, making this an improvement in that regard, even if the composition of the shots was rarely optimal to making the gals look better. I saw no compression artifacts or video noise but the darker nature of the material here was also a factor in the picture, not just the thematic aspects of the show. The stereo audio was below average too as it wasn't a 5.1 set up and the vocals seemed far too hollow compared to the droning music.

Body of Review: By now, most people are aware that superstar Jenna Jameson plans to retire from making porn movies in favor of settling down to a home life with her husband. While this news saddens a great many fans, I rejoice that she's already making plans to pass on her scepter to the next generation and leave while on top. The down side is that there's no true heir apparent since most gals in porn simply aren't capable of filling Jenna's shoes (or panties for that matter). While each company and hustler in porn attempts to locate that heir to the throne, Jenna herself seems to have tried to name a successor, the attractive Krystal Steal; a gal that looks similar to Jenna but lacks her talents at this point in time. The latest movie starring the young starlet from Club Jenna is Steal Runway, a movie about a super model played by Krystal that finds her chosen path less than fulfilling. If you think that'll be enough for you to enjoy, read the following breakdowns of the scenes by cast and actions, noting that there were a lot of condoms used here:

Scene One: Krystal Steal, the lead of the movie as depicted on the front DVD cover, was up in a scene with studly Barrett Blade after a flashback taking place before the fall of a super model on the runway was shown. While no Jenna, she has the look that many fans want to see in action and I can see why she was chosen as the successor to the throne. Her oral was pretty skillful and the limited vaginal screwing not bad in the dressing room sequence used to open the sex scenes began. There was definitely some energy between them but the chemistry was sorely limited as she seemed to go through the motions a bit too much. I didn't care about the condom (not like some of you will care) but I wish someone would take the reins in her next movie to really let her soar (her biggest drawback these days is she seems incapable of letting herself go with a guy).

Scene Two: Ariana Jollee, one of the most talented brunettes in the jizz biz these days (or any time for that matter), was up next in a scene with Manuel Ferrara in his home office. I liked how she fumbled with his zipper since that added a slice of realism to the scene and her sultry oral on him was truly a sight to see but for all her energetic playfulness, she fell short of her usual top notch act (and it wasn't his fault either). She managed to get better as the scene progressed but he did far more of the work than she would normally allow (she can be quite sexually aggressive folks). It ended after some vaginal screwing and a facial load but only her fans will "have" to see this one.

Scene Three: Keri Sable, playing a dark angel on a photoshoot, had a scene with gentle Jay, the photographer. She's the latest contract performer for Wicked Pictures and supposedly the best thing in porn to hear so many fans speak of her but I think she needs to add a few pounds to her frame before reaching the summit of her popularity. This wasn't one of her better scenes and the action was strictly oral and straight on the fluffy lambskin rug with him doing almost all the work (except in the oral part of the scene).

Scene Four: Krystal Steal, looking a little tighter this time, took on pretty boy Nick Manning in a bedroom at night. Again, her oral was fine but the vaginal sex almost seemed like she was watching a clock in how mechanical she performed. I'm sure fans of hers will disagree with me but she appeared to be going through the motions once more and I found that distracting.

Scene Five: Brooke Haven, a cutie with large breasts (real or fake, few of you seem to care), had the last scene on the staircase with Krystal Steal. Krystal looked a bit rough around the edges here but she appeared top perk up a few times too, making me think she was more into women than men. They used toys a bit but most of the action was licking and rubbing one another so unless you enjoy lesbian sex, you'll be unhappy with this scene.

Summary: Steal Runway was easily a step up from Krystal Method in terms of visual aspects and other technical matters but it didn't address the problem of her lack of energy and chemistry in her scenes. Simply put, Jenna didn't get where she is today by being handed the crown on a silver platter, she earned it and so should Ms. Steal. I'm going to be generous and rate this release a Rent It since there was some unique bonus material starring Jenna Jameson herself but as I've commented before, the extras were far too limited, the length of the feature about half that of competitor's product, and the level of chemistry and energy far to low to turn me on consistently. I've seen Krystal perform much better when she first got into porn several years ago so I know she has the potential of being a solid starlet and I know Jim Enright knows how to craft a quality movie but something must've happened to derail this one long before it got into my hands and that's a shame. I hope the next release starring Krystal Steal is better than this but check it out and you'll see what I mean.
