I've long been a fan of Laurent's artistic talent as well as his attention to detail. Believe me, he did an outstanding job creating this couples-friendly episode in his Pinup Perversions series.

Each scene in Pinup Perversions with Krystal Steal revolves around a different 1940's or 50's theme. In one scene, Krystal plays a 40's starlet who's madly in love with her editor (Eric Masterson). (Note: This sounds like the real life relationship between Jenna Jameson and her ex-husband and Club Jenna president Justin Sterling!) In another scene, Maya Gates plays a siren singer in a 40's vintage jazz lounge who is accompanied by pianist Marco Banderas. After their set, they fuck for their fans right there on the stage!

Of particular note in Pinup Perversions with Krystal Steal are the aesthetics and attention to detail. Period-appropriate sets, wardrobe, hairstyles, make-up, and musical soundtracks really set this movie apart from most contemporary adult releases. In addition, the videography--which is sometimes sepia-toned, black-and-white, or even over-saturated high contrast--nicely matches the theme of each scene.

You can probably tell that Pinup Perversions with Krystal Steal really appealed to me on an aesthetic level. On the other hand, two sexual attributes of the movie prevented me from awarding it a Highly Recommended or coveted XCritic rating. First, there's a lack of cunnilingus in one of the scenes. To me, sex without pussy eating is like a day without sunshine! More importantly, however, in three of the scenes the girls take their guys' semen into their mouths...and then spit it out. I think that spitting out a load of cum is very disrespectful to the guy. I can certainly understand why a girl wouldn't want to swallow. But, if that's the case, the guy shouldn't cum inside her mouth. Come on, performers! I think there are way too many scenes that end in open-mouthed facials...and, too many of these pops are obviously not appreciated by the girls. Final Thoughts

The best things about Pinup Perversions with Krystal Steal include:

• the whole "retro"look and feel of the movie including a hot swing big-band music soundtrack; video special effects reminiscent of the 40's and 50's; period costumes, make-up, hairstyles, sets, and props; and first-class attention to detail by the movie's director, Laurent Sky.
• the use of color palettes especially suited to each scene's scenario. For example, Scene Three, set in an old-time pharmacy, was shot in sepia-tone to convey the appropriate feeling. In addition chic and period-appropriate black-and-white footage is also expertly stitched into the video. Nice!
• the editing of clips within sexual positions. Footage of each position was taken from a variety of angles and then clips were stitched together in a seamless way that lets us savor the action without a loss of continuity.
• Krystal Steal herself. I've long been a fan of this buxom blond and think she looks better than ever...especially her recently augmented tailbone tattoo. I also think she really fits in with the 50's retro feel of this movie.

Pinup Perversions with Krystal Steal could have been better if:

• Krystal's narration during the set-up to Scene One didn't sound so wooden. Although Krystal is definitely a gorgeous woman and dream fuck, she's not the best actress.
• the editor had included transitioning footage between sexual positions. When the action cuts from one position to another, I feel like I've missed something.
• there was a greater variety of pops. It's obvious that some of the girls don't like to swallow. So, why shoot cum into their mouths if they're just going to spit it out again? Guys, you know that you can pop elsewhere!

Things I didn't like about Movie include:

• the lack of cunnilingus in Scene One.
• Krystal spitting out Eric Masterson's cum in Scene One; Riley Evans spitting out Mick Blue's semen in Scene Three; and Taylor Chanel spitting out Jerry's semen in Scene Five.
