Extras: The best extra for most of you will be the bonus POV blowjob scene between Asa Akira and director Van Styles that lasted 18:10 minutes where she aggressively slobs his knob. Asa is an accomplished oralist and the scene had her displaying a lot of enthusiasm so it will merit extra consideration by her fans even if the enhanced resolution and detail clearly show her facial blemishes more than I think she would have liked. I also liked the Behind the Scenes footage labeled as "Cutting Room Floor" given how much material it included (56:45 minutes!) just as some of you will appreciate the photogallery and trailers.

Audio/Video Quality: Poolside Pussy (Blu-ray) was presented in a pleasing anamorphic widescreen color with an aspect ratio of about 1.78:1 as shot by director Van Styles for Vouyer Media using the VC-1 codec one would expect of the production with a 1080i resolution. The lighting was solid and that minimized the grain, video noise, and shadows in most cases; all factors in the appearance of the technical values used to enhance the action. The abundance of close up shots was a bit problematic for me at times but thankfully, a variety of other shots was also employed to balance things out. The composition of the shots proved that industry veteran Van has come a long way since his initial releases elsewhere, reminding me of his heated works for Vouyer and Video Team taken up a notch, his production skills honed at numerous companies he has worked at in recent years. There were still some minor rough edges in evidence but I can see improvement in these recent works and I look forward to seeing how his productions fare as he directs for numerous companies. The video bitrate varied a lot too but generally wasn't as high as I expected as it clocked in routinely at under 10 Mbps, reaching as high as 17.3 Mbps when I checked it out (so while there was no aliasing, compression artifacts, or macro-blocking noticed, it wasn't as great an upgrade). To sum it up; the movie looked better than any of the company's recent standard definition releases, the visual upgrade decent but not as great as it should have been. The audio was presented in the usual 2.0 Dolby Digital English (in 192 Kbps with a 48 kHz sampling rate) but this is what the SD version provides so the rating reflects it.

Body of Review: Van Styles has been directing a long time now, often devoting significant portions of his career to capturing ethnic outings before he took up with Vouyer Media. As a result, not as many people outside of the industry know much about him or how his technical expertise can enhance a production, but that has started to change in recent times. His latest movie making it my way is Poolside Pussy (Blu-ray), a collection of attractive ladies teasing and screwing in skimpy bikinis with a wealth of light used to make them look crystal clear. With hotties like Kristina Rose, Katie Cummings, and Abbey Brooks, I was sure the flick would be strokable but would he live up to the established reputation of Vince and company? Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Kristina Rose, a lovely young brunette, was up first wearing a colorful (a dark pink & black) bikini as she teased outside on a sunny day by the pool. Summary: Poolside Pussy (Blu-ray) by director Van Styles for Vouyer Media was a bit uneven compared to the efforts of Vince or Jack (or even Donnie) but there was enough stroke value, replayability, and levels of fuck for the poolside buck to merit a rating of Recommended. In short, Poolside Pussy (Blu-ray) might not have best utilized the high definition format with the 1080i resolution or the low bitrate but the details were quite clear and my limited knowledge of the original release tells me that those of you with money to burn might consider it over the SD release if you find a bargain.
