Audio/Video Quality: Mean Bitches Erotic Femdom 8 was presented in a decent, 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Glenn King for Kick Ass Pictures; mastered in the standard definition MPEG-2. The bitrate stayed mainly in the lower 3.1 Mbps area but the biggest flaw with the visual aspect of the movie was the lighting being on the low side. This weakened the resolution and there were some compression artifacts, the fleshtones accurate in most cases with minimal tint or variation. The camera angles tended to favor the female domination theme but the ladies were not always optimally covered by Josh Hunter, their makeup handled reasonably well by Nicki Hunter but none of the gals looking their absolute best. There was some minimal grain noticed at times; it simply came across as low end web material ported over to DVD for additional sales. The audio was presented in Dolby Digital 2.0 stereo English using the 192 Kbps bitrate (and 48 kHz sampling rate) but it varied in terms of clarity much like the video aspects of the production; the closer the camera was to the cast, the better the technical aspects were. There was no separation and the dynamic range was decidedly limited, the hollow nature of the vocals obvious from the beginning to end.

Body of Review: Glenn King and Kick Ass Pictures have long been associated with Femdom porn; the niche catering to men that get off on women treating them like trash. The apparent appeal of this type of show is primarily for guys that want the lady in charge, either freeing the men from the pressure of being in charge or to serve their deep seated psychological need to be dominated. If more planning and variety were put into the show, it would have had much greater crossover appeal, the ladies each attractive enough to suit my needs. In short, Mean Bitches Erotic Femdom 8, like similar shows by the director before it, was an okay example of female domination but a far cry from what would be needed to get me off so give it a look if you're into the genre. As such, your mileage will vary but it is only fair to point out that whatever else, the director does a better job than many of his peers in terms of technical values on such niche titles so it might prove worth it, for Kristina Rose, Asa Akira, or Aiden Starr's scene more than whatever limitations the sexual antics may have had.
