Extras: The best extra was a 16:22 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by director Will Ryder (credited to Nick Ventura). It only featured Tristan Kingsley and Kristina Rose, Will goofing from behind the camera as he interviewed them. There was also a slide show, some trailers, spam, and a feature about the way the Barely Legal series began long ago, pretty much a lightweight, generic sample though the two gals seemed to enjoy Will's playful demeanor.

Audio/Video Quality: Barely Legal Latinas #2 was presented in a fetching 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen color by director Will Ryder for Hustler Video in the MPEG-2 codec used for virtually all standard definition releases these days (employing the usual 480i resolution too). The picture was about average for one of the lower budget company releases, the director taking over the series from Richard Montford (may he rest in peace). The composition of the camera angles worked well for most of the ladies, their bodies enhanced in most cases but still looking quite healthy. The editing was on the choppy side, sometimes leaving a position too soon, almost as if covering up some shooting issues from the location; yet I thought a fair amount of improvement was shown from the last time I saw an original title from the company, the loss of focus being the only real problem in a few scenes, the color saturation more prominent than usual though. Will had a lot of help here, including Scarlet Begonia on editing, Miles Long helping with camera, Tim Studley on lighting, and his long time partner Scott David assisting as needed throughout the production. The bitrate varied a lot, staying in the mid 4.2 Mbps range a lot, resulting in no noticed aliasing or compression artifacts. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English under the usual 192 Kbps and 48 kHz sampling rate; little separation or dynamic range noticed in the vocals or music. The good news was that the music seemed to show more attention than usual, quite a feat on such a limited budget, and the vocals were clear in their limited use, be it the narration of the scenes or during the vignettes.

Body of Review: Will Ryder is best known these days as the king of the sitcum parodies, his award winning efforts so popular that they have actually revived the industry in some ways. In between his bigger projects, he directs titles far smaller in stature, helping him hone his technical skills on someone else's dime, usually the nice folks over at Hustler Video for some of their titles involved teenagers just old enough to do porn. His latest movie with this theme is Barely Legal Latinas #2, nothing especially interesting compared to shows like the upcoming "Not Married With Children XXX" sitcum or the sure to be award winning Not the Cosbys, but dedicated fans of sexy Latinas under the age of 25 should find this one to their liking all the same. Other than the director, my biggest interest was in seeing lovely Kristina Rose despite knowing this would not be one of her more extreme performances, the gal a treat no matter what she is in but my biggest curiosity was in how well the other ladies would fare. Scene One: Carmella Santiago, a perky Latina with a body built for trouble, was up first, her blue crop top shirt barely holding her breasts in check. The minimal dialogue between them about school was lame given their respective ages, the pair skipping to the oral in no time where she applied the standard set of porn moans that told me just how unlikely it would be for her to do the guy without large sums of money exchanging hands. Scene Three: Kristina Rose, a sexy little Latina that really needs no introduction at this writing thanks to her many featured performances of the last year, was up next to turn up the heat a few notches. She teased fairly well with some music that reminded more of a music video than anything else, Kristina beckoning toward the camera in a pleasing way before she too was stuck with weak male talent. I'll admit that I personally don't care much about the guys but when they show no chemistry, performance skills, or attraction to the gals they work with, it puts a damper in my viewing, Aaron Wilcoxxx actually one of the better guys in the movie (which should speak volumes regarding just how lame the others were). Scene Five: Tristan Kingsley, another mid 20's Latina with a youthful body, was up last in the pastel game room, the gal looking her best when bent over (and looking over her shoulder). The music wasn't quite as good this time but she teased on the pool table and attracted aging moper Talon, the guy well past his peak years too. Summary: Barely Legal Latinas #2 by director Will Ryder for Hustler Video seemed to provide a moderate amount of Latina fuck for the buck, none of the women looking a day over 25 years old to me so I rated it a respectable Rent It, a rating that most porn seems to merit these days (outside the bigger projects and multi-disc sets). Will loves the ladies and they seem to like him back, the modest scope of the production a far cry from his movies I'm a huge fan of but worthy of your time, money, and seed if you like the cast. In short, Barely Legal Latinas #2 starred Kristina Rose, Ruby Knox, and several other ladies providing some sexual misconduct for you to appreciate so give it a look.
