Audio/Video Quality: Hard At Work was presented in a very appealing 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Danny Case for Third Degree Films using the MPEG-2 codec for the standard definition release (using a standard 480 resolution). The lighting was usually optimal and it generally limited the grain, video noise, and shadows substantially. The composition of the shots weren't always completely flattering to the ladies but at least there was rarely any doubt about what was going on and where it was going; given the quality of the cast, this made it more enjoyable too. The fleshtones were generally accurate and the bitrate hovered in the mid 4.6 Mbps area so it did not look bad but aside from the light haze here, it was again okay. There were no compression artifacts and the visuals were generally handled pretty well here. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English using the standard 192 Kbps bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate of most productions. The music was generic but the vocals; while plain as could be, could be heard in almost all cases; only slightly hollow at times when the ladies were making it clear their limits were being pushed.

Body of Review: Danny Case has long been one of the nicest guys in porn, his work for Third Degree Films as a director almost always worthy of checking out. His latest release making it my way is Hard At Work, a set of five scenes tied to work themes. Whatever your tastes in porn, when a cast includes such hotties as Francesca Le, Alexis Texas, Courtney Cummz, Ann Marie Rios, and Krissy Lynn, I’ve found you rarely go wrong. The cover picture where Alexis Texas is scantily clad in a hard hat and booty shorts notwithstanding, all of the ladies played up their unique attributes in this tribute to Labor Day. Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

The only scene that truly worked for me in terms of replay value was the final one with Krissy Lynn, and most readers know how much I appreciate the rest of the ladies here. That said, Hard At Work was a movie with five scenes, a light theme, and fair technical values but hardly indicative of what I usual expect from the director or the company so if you’re curious about checking it out, try it as a rental before shelling out the dough to buy.
