Extras: Wicked Pictures is probably best known as a couples friendly feature mill these days, some of their efforts drawing cross over audiences like few of their peers are capable of so it makes sense that they tend to have solid extras, the best for most of you this time being the bonus scene described below from Tasty. There were nine trailers, a 2:06 minute long Easter Egg (on the trailer page; showing Kirsten beating up a poor guitar from her scene), another Easter egg on the extras page showing various comedic moments and lasting 2:47 minutes (Francois' foreskin, Kirsten bouncing merrily along, etc.), the newest company promotional reel, three Star Stats (for Kirsten, Stephanie, and Alektra), spam, the usual DVD ROM material, nine Star photogalleries, one main photogallery, and my favorite being a 24:54 minute long Behind the Scenes view of the production by Jax. The BTS showcased Kirsten and most of the performers nicely enough in various states of undress, some sexual activity included and a bit of time spent with director Brad Armstrong to outline some of what was going on. There was also a true double sided DVD cover and slip case for it, the extras adding some value for me.

Audio/Video Quality: Cockstar was presented in an appealing 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Brad Armstrong for Wicked Pictures in the standard definition MPEG-2 codec. While filmed in high definition, it was down converted to a regular DVD so there was some minor grain in some of the scenes where lighting was minimized as part of the scene (darker scenes tend to do that). The video noise was minimal and the composition of the scenes was extremely well taken care of, enhancing the look of the ladies in nearly all cases but there was aliasing for those of you wanting better video to showcase your home theatres (but the editing by Jonathan "Slammy" Morgan was really good too). There were no obvious compression artifacts and the bitrate was typically in the mid to upper 4 Mbps range. The audio was presented in a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround English track that balanced the vocals and music nicely. The audio seemed to be another step in the right direction for Wicked Pictures, even though the vocals were almost certainly recorded in monaural or dubbed in later (not to mention limited in scope). Still, the music was well done and the overall quality of the audio was better than average as well (much better in a few scenes).

Body of Review: Brad Armstrong is the lead director at Wicked Pictures no matter how much some people prefer others at the company. His bigger budget features tend to win many awards and his smaller efforts show that he is not tied to resource heavy projects as others there are; sometimes his all sex vignette titles falling short for me due more as a result of the casting than anything else. His latest such flick is Cockstar, a series of six vignettes showcasing contract starlet Kirsten Price as she and others provided rock & rock themed set ups; some of them pretty good. The back cover said it like this: "Take a walk on the wild side with award winning Director Brad Armstrong as he takes us on a musical and sexual odyssey. Kirsten Price is your hostess as a superb blend of sex and harmony fill the screen with the sights and sounds of both orgasm and crescendo. From heavy metal to jazz, hip hop to rap, this is one concert you can't afford to miss!" Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Kristen Price, Alektra Blue, and Lexxi Tyler, were up first as a trio of lesbian rocker chicks satiating themselves on each other's juices. The fingering and titty play were decent, some rougher edged action included as they pushed each other's limits before eating each other out. The impression I got from them was that they were putting on a lipstick lesbian showing though, the toys hardly used before Kirsten started her solo act while watching. My biggest grievance with the scene was how it kept breaking up to move to the guitar playing portions, my taste for gal on gal action not limited to ladies truly into it if I like them enough. Alektra was the main driver of the scene here and if you enjoy this kind of thing, there was some minor stroke value.

Scene Two: Stephanie Swift, Michelle Avanti, and Brad Armstrong, were up next as the ladies played groupies to Brad's heavy metal rocker character. I have to admit that there was some comedic value to the set up for me, all the makeup he wore looking kind of silly and the Goth look of the gals was distracting but the return of Stephanie to the company (even for a single scene) was enough for me to overlook any cosmetic issues. The gals wore fetish attire too, a metal breastplate on Stephanie and a leather corset on Michelle that looked fetching to say the least. When the ladies had warmed each other up orally, the ladies then turned their attention to Brad's cock, sucking him off with a flair for enthusiasm, slicking up his balls before he began driving his penis inside of them vaginally. There was some anal fingering here but it led nowhere so taste testing aside, the facials finished it up.

Scene Three: Kirsten Price, Lichelle Marie, Justice Young, and Eric Masterson, were up next as a band having a lot of fun playing until they decided to play with each other sexually. As with the other scenes, the chords didn't match the audio but it was all in good fun and Kirsten looked younger than ever in her teeny bopper top. Kirsten went with Justice and Lichelle took on Eric, each lady sucking her partner off before they boned adequately. I have to give Kirsten credit for giving the better head of the two gals but Lichelle was a decidedly better rider; bouncing on cock before both men drained their balls to watch the ladies cumswap the resulting loads of population pudding.

Scene Four: Jennifer Dark, a lean and attractive brunette known for her heated anal exploits, was up next in the recording studio as she pounced on muscular Niko while he captured some tracks of his pop starlet employer. The couple was playful and took their sweet time, Niko loving her all natural titties and nipples a whole lot. She gave a short hummer before he reciprocated their accents amusing as they started pounding each other hard. The vaginal led to anal and Jennifer was a particularly active rider, the load of semen gracing her face in no time.

Scene Five: Kirsten Price, playing a J-Lo styled songstress, then slobbed the knob of muscular Tommy Gunn in a scene that disappointed because it was oral only. Kirsten can suck a mighty mean dick but with a premium pussy such as she has, this type of filler scene is a pain in the ass. I wanted more and as it was her last scene of the flick, it weakened the show for me even as she licked the spew off the guitar at the end.

Scene Six: Victoria Sin, Michelle McLarren, Marcus London, and Nick Manning, were up last in the touring bus, the ladies blowing the men as if having a contest, Nick taming down his act to keep it from getting into parody territory. Victoria was the best anal rider of the day and Michelle was very aggressive vaginally, keeping the movie into stroke worthy sex even as some of the previous scenes just didn't do it for me. The cumswapped facials finished the flick and the credits ran.

Bonus Scene: Tasty: Jessica Drake, the lean cutie on the front cover, her contract pal Kirsten Price, and Eric Masterson, were up first in a scene centering on the exploits of pastry chefs. The tempo of the music was upbeat and the voice over by Jessica did not detract from the action like it did in Bad Girls. The tease by the gals at the beginning allowed them some latitude in their skimpy attire, the ladies sharing Eric's cock orally once the sexual contact kicked in. There was a fair amount of vaginal play here; both oral contact and the usual positions for screwing with each gal participating nicely. Jessica was the more active of the two and seemed to do the most PTM but they shared the facial pop at the end like good friends with a kiss.

Summary: Cockstar by director Brad Armstrong for Wicked Pictures relied heavily on the appeal of Kirsten Price so if you aren't a huge fan of hers, you may find the entire movie lacking so I rated it as a Rent It. The sex was inconsistently heated and as much as some of the ladies have long proven themselves worthy of larger budgets, even Brad couldn't save them this time. In short, Cockstar was a few watts short of an electric guitar fuse so check it out mostly if you adore Kirsten Price.
