Audio/Video Quality: Katy Pervy The XXX Parody was presented in 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Lee Roy Myers for Good Night Media. This was a standard definition project, the video bitrate hovering around the 6.4 Mbps area when I checked it out, the lighting solid in all four scenes and no grain or video noise as a result. In short, it looked good though there did not appear to be more than a camera or two used for any of the scenes, a lot of close up footage provided (and POV in the opening scene) but some fairly decent compositional work as well. The makeup and sets were basic but lent an air of authenticity to the parody characterizations, Glen working wonders with the women to enhance their “look” of the various pop divas spoofed. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English with limited separation between the channels and a modest dynamic range included. The vocals were always plain enough and my biggest complaint in this aspect of the flick was that no attempts were made to emulate the singers in terms of a funny parody song (such as the original “Britney Rears” parody had offered up).

Body of Review: Lee Roy Myers is the award winning director in charge at Good Night Media these days, the man cutting his teeth on various porn parody sitcums where he wowed many a fan. Now that he is on his own, many of us in the media have come to expect even more from him, his latest title called Katy Pervy The XXX Parody. As expected, this was a parody in a general sense, picking a few aspects of three pop divas (Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and Rhianna) and the “men” associated with them (Snoop Dogg, Elmo, and Russell Brand) with a nod & wink in each of the four scenes. Going into the show I had plenty of doubts since I knew there was no attempt to make a parody song for any of them (something needed to truly connect the characters to their real life counterparts) and the amount of exposition setting up each scene was equally limited. Still, as a fan of the musical characters used in the flick and a huge supporter of talented performer Kimberly Kane, I wanted this one to work as much as anyone not financially associated with the movie. The back cover described the movie like this: “Pop sensation Katy Pervy knows what sells her music: SEX! Well, that and a sexy voice that could only get that way via daily deep throat vocal exercises. So, Katy Pervy goes on a XXX adventure, from her cleavage-filled appearance with everybody's favorite red puppet, Elmer, to kissing a girl and liking it so much that it evolves into a hot & heavy lesbian party! Featuring parodies of all of Katy's famous horny friends, Ka$$ha, Rihandjob, Lady Gagger, Snoop Dong, and Russell Gland, as they fuck their way up the charts!” Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: I Fucked Elmer and I Liked It: Kimberly Kane, the attractive brunette featured on the front cover, was up first with Anthony “Elmer” Rosano, their respective roles as pornified Katy Perry and Elmo amusing enough to garner a few laughs. The initial Elmo puppet was too small to matter but as Kimberly started stripping off her cover outfit, the puppet grew to man size (how the director got Anthony into that goofy costume is beyond me). In any case, the true sex began with a POV blowjob given seductively by Kimberly, her eye contact with the camera as she slobbed the knob making the scene work sexually for me. The various positions of active vaginal sex were okay too but POV is not typically the strongest way to present such action, Kimberly jerking him off to see his modest wad of genetic juice land on her lower abdomen closing it out.

Scene Two: Tik Tok, Time To Fuck: Chastity Lynn, the blond spreading her legs on the lower right hand corner of the front cover, was up next as a “Ke$ha” clone wanting to suck off D. Snoop as the Dogg himself. Chastity was sufficient in the extremely limited role as the whorish pop singer, giving some decent eye contact as she inhaled his black cock balls deep. Sadly, he kept talking and very little was done to establish her role, Snoop going down on her briefly before vaginally banging her passive pussy in a makeup chair until she put a little effort into it and rode him hard while fingering her own ass. There was a bit of additional oral by both of them after that but it ended too soon when he bust a nut of population pudding all over her ass without a bit of chemistry between them.

Scene Three: Love The Way You Lie On Top: Misty Stone, the fetching black lady seen on the lower right hand corner wearing the neon orange wig, was up next as a Rhianna clone, a single comment all that was provided to establish her in the role as she prepared to do Brian Street Team (as Russell Brand clone “Russell Gland”) in a dressing room. He mugged and went way overboard with the role, some might argue the mainstream actor does that too, Misty kneeling down to blow him aggressively as she looked up into his eyes. She worked the pipe well enough and he gave her a few licks too, her sweet ass looking great as he pounded her pussy in a few positions. As hot as she was though, Brian appeared to have some wood issues at times, the generic tryst ending too soon with a facial.

Scene Four: Poke Her Face: Kimberly Kane, this time wearing a neon blue wig, was up last in bed with Lexi “Lady Gagger” Swallow, the lesbian tryst beginning with a kiss by Lexi as she showed her “poke her” face. They pawed one another and spent some time on boob play, Lexi looking a lot more physically appealing their the role she was playing here. There was a lot of fingering and muff diving this time, some minor rimming included almost as an afterthought. They ended it by rubbing crotches together, no spunk or ending dialogue included to wrap things up as the credits followed the pairing.

Summary: Katy Pervy The XXX Parody by director Lee Roy Myers for Good Night Media was cute and if given more development I’m sure sexy Kimberly Kane could have pulled off anything short of the singing, the others close enough in looks (well, thankfully, Lexi Swallow looked nothing like Lady Gaga) to make this a winner but frankly, it fell short. The sex was good but not good enough to cover for the limited parody aspects of the show so I felt a rating of Rent It made the most sense. I know just how comprehensive the director can be when given the time, money, and budget to make a great parody but just as one of his peers started the whole parody craze several years back (at least the latest such craze) based on a Britney Spears musical parody, Lee is too good to do a half assed job like this one without someone pointing it out, the entire thing making me smile a number of times but not enough to boost like his better efforts. In short then, Katy Pervy The XXX Parody might appeal to diehard fans of the pop music icons parodied here but compared to a full fledged effort in the parody realm, it was not all it should have been so check it out first before shelling out the cash for a keeper copy.
