Audio/Video Quality: Stripped: A Confessional was presented in an appealing 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen as shot for VCX by director Hugh Richards (under the Run and Gun Production label). Presented in a standard definition MPEG-2 format, the movie used color as well as B&W to showcase five couples having sexual difficulty, the video bitrate clocking in around 6.2 Mbps when I spot checked it several times. There were some grainy sections (the lesbian tryst comes to mind) and some of the editing needed polishing up but overall I found it looked pretty decent for a first stab at a porno from a newcomer. The camera angles were solid and the composition of the framing better than some seasoned veterans provide years into the game, the fleshtones accurate and minimal pattern noise observed. The audio was offered up in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English with 192 Kbps audio bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate, the aural qualities showing no separation but always easily heard. I did not detect a lot of overdubbing or other post production work added in here either, placing it right alongside most such productions made these days.

Body of Review: VCX was a company releasing many of the first pornos I saw in my youth, a wonderful collage of naughty flicks that even today elicit a blush or two at times when I recall their impact on me. Surprisingly, the company has come out of a virtual cave during these tough economic times to produce a movie called Stripped: A Confessional, showing the world that they might well be ready to add to their impressive library of back titles. The movie is a selection of five scenes showing couples interviewed during therapy sessions, each having a predicament to overcome. The company website described the movie like this: "In this video confessional, five couples enter into therapy to discuss their innermost secrets, divulging troubled relationships, twisted fantasies and sensual dreams, transporting the viewer into their personal and private lives. Each partner confesses their untold delights without reservation--and through the camera lens, we are their confessional box. We are the voyeurs that hold their deepest, darkest desires private and in our confidence, as they unfold their dreams one after another, and we are the eyewitness to it all. Honest, candid, and without hesitation, the couples confront each other's hidden fears, marital problems, and sexual frustrations. Emily (Raven Alexis) is a sexually frustrated housewife married to her high school sweetheart and looking for more out of a relationship. She explores sexual interludes with her business associate, Allen, and then ventures into uncharted territory with a foray into light bondage with her girlfriend-turned-lover, Samantha, played by (Dia Zerva), an office manager during the week and a lifestyle-swinging free spirit on weekends. Celeste (Kiara Diane) is a young college student struggling with her new sexual freedom. She feels uncomfortable with her one night stands, questioning whether it's right to be so free with her body, but her body yearns for more, which is just what she gets from new lover, Peter. Tasha (Jennifer Dark) is a young, Czech Republic girl, sold into prostitution and enslaved by her abusive pimp husband played by (Joey Brass). He violates her in every way, sodomizing her and punishing her when she doesn't earn her expected keep. Lisa (Ashley Roberts) and her husband, Patrick, have a new child and their sex life has suffered from Lisa's unwillingness to be sexual again. They're looking to bring their sex life back into their relationship once again, remembering how very sexual they were together in the past--when it was hot and heavy." Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Dia Zerva and Raven Elexis

Scene One: Raven Alexis, a lean and fetching young lass, was up first having provided the impetus for her clinical visit. She masturbated out of frustration that her husband wasn't enough for her, fantasizing about her co-worker Allen W. That she was open enough to diddle herself in front of the picture window was pretty hot enough but he helped escalate the dynamic when he catered to her needs with some seductive kissing and caresses. Allen then went down on her, savoring her juices so freely flowing by this point, Raven excitedly engulfing his pecker orally to give him a solid blowjob while looking up into his eyes. There was then some active vaginal riding and while she moaned a bit over the top, I had little doubt she was getting off, the small ending facial the only thing not working for me other than him kissing her mouth afterward (given the couples dynamic, it would have been more "real" if he popped inside of her).

Scene Two: Jennifer Dark, a popular foreign brunette with a great body, was up next as she revealed how her husband thought of her as a meal ticket. She wanted more than Joey Brass was giving her out of life, her solo effort on the bed resulting in him walking over to violate her. She blew him as if on command, spreading her legs as he demanded for the vaginal positions before some taste testing led to his getting rough with her by choking her. Given the dynamic of the scene, it helped make more sense of her laments; the anal positions showing him get even rougher before he slammed his cock into her mouth for more oral. The scene closed out with a wad of genetic juice to her mouth, Jennifer's skill at actively riding a cock betraying her "abuse" story somewhat.

Scene Three: Ashley Roberts, a blond stripper next door type, was up next in a solo sequence, the lady wearing some fine lingerie to assist in her physical appeal. Her story was more positive in nature in that she liked having sex with Justin R., even a quickie or blowjob where she was in control. The arrival of a new baby has hampered their sexual appetites though and they are trying to reclaim that part of their life, the scene adding a surprise ending when he couldn't perform on camera during the blowjob, the text showing they broke up a week later. If this wasn't the best use of a mope unable to perform in a porno for the coming year (pun intended), nothing was. The tease alone was pretty decent though and the net effect was to add some realism to the movie as a whole.

Scene Four: Dia Zerva and Raven Alexis were then up as adventurous lesbians engaging in BDSM. The initial sex started with both of them doing a tease session that turned into a solo act, their juices flowing before they walked together into the bedroom to try some role playing, complete with blindfold and restraints. This scene was shot in B&W and showed significant grain, but the energy levels were high as was the chemistry between them, making it a stand out scene in many ways. The use of the strap on dildo was depraved enough to escalate the scene a notch too, my only wish being that it lasted longer.

Scene Five: Kiara Diane, the cutie on the front cover wearing the animal print top, was up last and she was on the prowl for a better sexual experience, getting more than she bargained for from Mr. Pete. She also provided a sexy little striptease in front of the picture window overlooking some mountains (it looked like they shot in Las Vegas) before engaging in a solo scene, her sweet little body begging to have $20 bills tossed at it. By the time Pete joined her, they were all over each other and kissing, Kiara dropping to her knees to slob his knob aggressively. It was clear that she was no stranger to inhaling a cock orally, her eye contact enhancing the proceeding substantially before he served her likewise with some foot fetish and cunnilingus. Unlike a few of the others that went too far over the top, she seemed to enjoy his ministrations for real, moving into some active vaginal riding during which she even engaged in some air play at his request, the ending load of population pudding landing all over her abdomen.

Summary: Stripped: A Confessional by director Hugh Richards for VCX surprised me in how it addressed the basic tenants of a quality movie, much like many of the company's original releases decades ago seemed willing to do. While I can't say there were no rough edges in need of polishing up or that each scene was consistently solid, it merited an easy Recommended from me for the heat generated, the replay value, and the strokability. In short, Stripped: A Confessional showed me that there was a lot of potential worth exploring in this flick produced by the infamous David Sutton, the kind of potential worth looking into as far as this jaded old porn hound is concerned so give it a look with someone you care about.
