I have been a fan of Digital Playground's "Career" series, and was excited to see this title. Although Body Heat has much to commend, on the whole, I was disappointed.

Digital Playground clearly put money in this DVD. They use a real firehouse with a real firetruck, and they invested in special effects, including both a fire and an explosion. Riley Steele, Katsuni, and Kayden Kross all turn in great performances.

Still, earlier titles in this series succeeded in part because of their use of some of the top free agents in the business-- stars like Sasha Grey, Jenna Haze, and Lisa Ann. This title features only one outside girl, the uninspiring Bridgette B., and further suffers from the fact that Stoya was on hiatus during filming.

Kayden Kross and Manuel Ferrara

The extras include some trailers, a photo gallery, a 34-minute behind-the-scenes (bts), and something they call "deleted scenes" which is just a few minutes of outtakes. The bts includes a reasonable amount of skin and some hardcore footage. This seemed a very light offering, and didn't merit a full disk.

Summary

For me, some of the best scenes in the earlier "Careers" titles were BGG trios. Nurses had three BGG scenes and a reverse gangbang. Teachers had Jenna Haze and Stoya working with Evan Stone, as well as Riley and Jesse Jane on Ben English, plus two more threeways. Fly Girls had Jesse Jane and Riley teaming up on Marco Bandares, while Sasha Grey and Raven Alexis took turns on Manuel Ferrara's hard cock, and a BGGG fourway. Body Heat had one menage a trois featuring Bridgette B.?

The sex scenes were shorter than you find in most porn, and the non-sex scenes were longer than average. This is true of most of the other "Career" titles, but the non-sex scenes in the other titles were softcore teases. Authentic firefighting gear covers much more than it reveals, which reduced the tease factor. The lack of skin in between the sex scenes meant that I often lost wood. While this has to be considered a drawback, it allowed me to prolong my jerking off until I had a great orgasm during Katsuni's scene. Fans who are looking to pace themselves for a couple of hours of masturbatory pleasure may want to consider this title.

Recommendation

Although I had fun jerking off to this movie for two hours, I can't recommend it as highly as the other titles in the "Careers" series.
