Synopsis

Is He There? is a nicely crafted feature directed by Celeste for Digital Playground. Robby D. is the director of photography. It is a conventional five-scene boy/girl movie that is definitely appropriate for couples viewing.

Katsuni plays the unhappily married wife of Mick Blue, a rich businessman. She claims that he abuses and takes her for granted. • This scene moves too quickly. It should have been longer so that more intense sexual behavious could have developed.
• Katsuni really should have gotten her asshole reamed. Given the theme of this scene (Mick's dominance over her), anal sex would have made perfect sense.
• Katsuni never appears to climax during the scene.

Extras

The DVD-9 disc I reviewed contains a full-motion chapter selector, multiple chapters per scene, a ten-minute behind-the-scenes (BTS) featurette, a manually operated photo gallery, a two and one-half minute self-running slide show (same images as the photo gallery) that's accompanied by music, and trailers for eight Digital Playground movies. The BTS contains on-set foolishness, video of the still photo shoots, funny video of Jenna Presley "disinfecting" the bed upon which she will be fucking, rehearsal of dialog lines, impromptu interviews of the girls, a behind-the-camera look at the shooting of the sex scenes, lots of naked titties, footage of Jenna Presley shaving her pubes, video of the girls getting their hair styled, and shots of Katsuni cleaning up after sex. This selection of extras is slightly below average in today's marketplace. Two and one-half stars. 

Final Thoughts

The best things about Is He There? include:

• the cast. Most of the women are Dr. Jay's Must-See Girls (Katsuni, Jenna, and Tori), so you know what I think about them! The only other female in the cast, Mason Moore, is so damned hot that I'm pretty sure that, if she stays in the business and continues along her current trajectory, she'll be a 2011 Must-See Girl.
• the photography. Robby D. did a very nice job capturing this movie for director Celeste.
• the musical soundtrack. Too many porn movies do not have supportive music during at least part of the time. Celeste used some very fine music during portions of the scenes that called for such support. And, she allowed the sweet sounds of sex to be completely audible--and front and center--during sex.
• the attention to detail. As always, Celeste chooses nice locations and sets, dresses her female performers beautifully, has the girls' hair and make-up done professionally, and adroitly directs the dialog.

Is He There? could have been better if:

• the scenes were a tad longer. In particular, Scene Five feels very incomplete and moves too quickly. I also think that Scene One would have benefited from a few more minutes so that some more "standard" sexual practices, such as pussy-to-mouth, could have been included.
• more consistent transitioning footage had been provided between positions. Sometimes the video abruptly cuts from one position to another. I find this mildly disconcerting. At the very minimum, there should be footage of the insertion for every position.
• there had been more anal sex. There's a bit of anal finger-fucking in Scene Two. However, since Katsuni is a lover of anal-sex, it would have been nice if she had gone all the way.
• Katsuni had climaxed in Scene Five.

Things I didn't like about Is He There? include:

• Ben English didn't eat Mason's pussy. What a waste!
