Note: The following is a review for the HD DVD version of Jesse’s Juice, a spotlight title centered on lovely Jesse Jane released last year. The content of the movie was the same and the extras barely modified to include HD DVD trailers that show off the higher resolution of the titles that are either out or about to come out in the popular new format. The quick version of the review is that the show looks and sounds slightly better but it always looked pretty good so its value as a double dip will depend on your wallet. While HD pictures reduced for the web would not truly show off the enhancements in quality, I suggest you check out this Trailer for Jesse’s Juice to get a better idea of what it looks like in this new form.  Enjoy!

Extra's: The best extra was the 11:23 minute long Behind the Scenes feature shot & edited by Brah Bones and Willem Default (with a funny nod to “Robby’s cousin”, Jamal Johnson’s jail house experiences). The pop up video aspect followed the firearm aspect of the movie itself and they had some fun with it, also having interviews and providing extra nudity; Jesse and Naomi showing their maternal instincts with a cute puppy brought on set by Scott. There was also a photogallery, a biography for Jesse Jane, a slide show, and trailers for movies like Pirates II, Island Fever 4 HD, Deeper 1 HD, Babysitters HD, Pirates HD, Jack’s Playground 27 HD, Contract Star HD, Jesse Jane: Sexual Freak HD, Jack's Teen America 3 HD, Island Fever 3 HD, Hush HD, Jack's POV HD, and Cockasian HD.

Audio/Video Quality: Jesse’s Juice HD was presented in the same 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen color it was shot in by Director of Photography Robby D. for conceptual director Celeste to be released by Digital Playground using a full 1080p resolution and the AVC/MPEG-4 codec to provide a substantially improved picture from the SD version that came out long ago. In terms of lighting and quality of picture, the movie was looking about as solid as any erotica shot these days (by anyone) in HD with the scenes all being distinctively captured in slightly different variations as Celeste likes to present. The lighting again varied too much to nail it down to a particular style but suffice it to say that the female eroticism Celeste sought to achieve was in full bloom in most of the scenes (as is usually the case). There was no unintentional grain or video noise observed, I saw no compression artifacts, and the composition of the scenes was such that all of the gals were made to look very nice indeed. Each vignette was a self contained short story open to interpretation, allowing consumers to project their own meaning into the scenes; making it an artistic endeavor more then the usual gonzo stuff that I happen to favor. The audio was presented with the upgraded 5.1 Dolby Digital + and the improvements were slighter here with little separation between the speakers in most cases, but some added clarity of the vocals all the same. As time marches on, porn audio tracks have not marched along as much as their mainstream counterparts, an area that I note with increasing frequency, but some of the hiss I got when I turned up the SD version to high levels was not as obvious so the dynamic range was enhanced as well as the thump of the bass; most of which I believe were added in post production. The down side was, as always, the lack of a vocal track to enhance the scenes via aural communication. The music may have been a very mixed bag but like the visuals, a bit of variety in the use of vocals might've been a nice change of pace too, as a means of elevating the weaker scenes if nothing else.

Body of Review: Celeste is the name of the former performer that decided to make a change in her life a few years ago, leaving her work in front of the camera to direct for Digital Playground. Her directing style is such that it generally uses an erotic approach rather than a the hardcore gonzo stuff her cameraman, director of photography Robby D. likes to shoot, and it is largely considered geared to a different audience as a rule of thumb. It is not my preferred style but I do like to see it, particularly if I’m watching it with a gal that is less “porn friendly” than I am, so with that I took a look at the upcoming Jesse’s Juice HD. The movie was a series of vignettes that largely focused on lovely Jesse Jane but also served up some action with the two new contract gals working for the company; Lacie Heart and Katsumi (now called Katsuni due to legal matters). As in most of Celeste’s movies, there was a general sub-theme, this time concerning guns and weapons, but they didn’t get in the way of the usual erotic action that employed copious amounts of slow motion, a lack of a vocal track, and various rapid paced editing, to provide some decent heat (within the type of flick it was meant to be). The company website said it like this: “Shot entirely on HD, Jesse's Juice features DP's contract superstar, Jesse Jane in 5 deliciously mouthwatering scenes. Rich with innuendo, director Celeste uses ripe fruits and juices intertwined with passionate sex in each seductive scene. Jesse unleashes her desire in 2 provocative boy / girl scenes with Scott Nails & Ben English. Then, she shows her lasciviously lesbian instincts in fantastically hot girl / girl action with Cayton Caley and contract sister Lacie Heart. Add the lovely Katsumi to the cast, some slammin' anal and horny solo action and Jesse's Juice is an over-the-top, breathtakingly beautiful, insanely hard, erotic experience you won't soon forget.” If that sounds appealing to you, here’s a quick look at the scenes noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Jesse Jane, the contract hotty that fans rightfully adore wherever she goes, was up first as she pistol-whipped Scott Nails and tied him up. She then teased him by using a vibrator on herself while rubbing her crotch in his lap; the guy awakening tto the juicy Jesse with his hands tied together by a belt. The slow motion wasn’t my favorite approach but the crystal clarity of the video helped diminish my issues with it as the scene progressed in the modern bathroom. She sat on his face to get some oral off of him and undid his hands to gain better access to his cock when she slobbed his knob. There was some intermittent gun play here (I know one of my reviewer pal’s will hate that aspect a lot) and then he began pounding her pussy like crazy, the slow motion not weakening this part either. She actively rode him on top too, impaling herself soundly as her ass cheeks rippled and tits heaved up and down, the scene ending with her taking a mouthful of semen to fade away.

Scene Two: Naomi, in a skimpy black dress that accentuated her now-skinny form, was up next as she played with gun toting Marco Banderas/Duato as what appeared to be her gun moll. She had an affection for the hand grenades in the box on the floor but discarded them in favor of working him over, both sampling the delights the other had to offer orally before screwing to the upbeat tempo. This was another scene where the balance between the clarity and the motion dehancement evened things out, her pussy boned raw before she did some active anal on his lap. It ended with a modest facial that went largely to her mouth, some post coital sucking ending the action.

Scene Three: Lacie Heart, one of the most beautiful gals in porn at this writing, was up next as she played a submissive to Jesse Jane. Scene Five: Jesse Jane, in a fur coat and panties on a white animal skin rug, had a masturbation scene next; rubbing herself as she stroked a bipod mounted M-60 machinegun. I’m sure the NRA members in the audience will appreciate all the guns and fire power employed in the movie, though exactly what the purpose of them was; I couldn’t say for sure. Jesse mainly used a single vibrator (a beige one for those keeping track) and her fingers as she diddled herself to taste them from time to time; providing something different for fans to enjoy.

Scene Six: Lux Kassidy, a lean and attractive blonde that almost became a Vivid contract gal last year (from what I understand at least), was up next as the latest solo scene hotty, sporting what looked to be a modified Mac-10 submachine gun. She kept her minimal clothing on a very long time and most of the scene was strictly posing as if on a photoshoot, the gal running her hands up and down her lovely form but not doing much else.

Scene Seven: Jesse Jane, dressed in a shiny black outfit, was up next with sinister looking Lux Luthor look-alike, Ben English, on the couch. The two could have been the villains in a gun running scheme given the weapon sitting on the couch but the only gun she was interested in was his massive erection pointing her way. Scene Eight: Katsumi, the hot Asian contract gal hired recently by the company, was up last with studly Jean Val Jean, the guy wearing a weird cornrow hairstyle that didn’t work for him at all. I’m not a gun guru so that was neutral to me but the ladies were physically appealing, the situations heated enough, and the way the performers partnered up struck me as making it worthy of being Recommended. The extras were still on the lean side and the motion effects were about as welcome as some of the techno-heavy music, but the replay and strokability factors gave it some nice fuck for the buck levels that I couldn’t outright dismiss. In short, while Jesse’s Juice HD won’t be for everyone, it will be just the right kind of tasty treat for those possessing a thirst for as much Jesse as they can get so check it out in this gloriously enhanced version if you have the right equipment.
