Audio/Video Quality: Flawless 9 was presented in a variety of full frame (1.33:1) and letterboxed widescreen as released by Metro Interactive/Cal Vista in the MPEG-2 codec with 480p resolution. Each clip had a different director and none of them were credited, not even the cast or movie the scenes were from, but the worst part of the production is that the scenes were often edited versions, dropping some of the material that made a few of them well worth watching. The video had a hodge podge assortment of grain, video noise, and numerous other issues that impacted my stroking value too, the bitrate lower than expected and nothing to provide a reason to pick up a copy based solely on technical values. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English using a 192 Kbps bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate, none of the scenes showing any separation, elevated dynamic range, or quality aural experience that might make it more interesting.

Body of Review: Metro Interactive/Cal Vista had been a player in the porn industry for many years as it won awards, built customer loyalty, and otherwise provided the kind of adult entertainment people wanted. In recent years, the company kind of faded into obscurity, dumping directors and production crew to save a few bucks, increasingly relying on their back catalog of titles to provide fodder for compilations. Some of these have been quite good but most have fallen short of the mark, the biggest issues upsetting me being that they were never properly credited (making it tougher to review) and how so many were edited. Such was the case with Flawless 9, a title also sold as "Penny Flame's Flawless 9". The quick version is that the movie is a compilation of eight edited scenes from past movies, even the better scenes chopped up as far as I could tell. I won't waste a lot of time going into why this practice is lame but few people I know profess a desire to have such scenes, never mind pay for them. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Penny Flame, the now retired hotty featured on the front cover, was up first in an uncredited scene on a rust colored couch with studly Mick Blue. Her clothing was off in no time as the frisky babe let him peel them off, the cutie tearing his pants off to blow him aggressively before the similarly active vaginal ride. He gave her some licks during the 69 but was otherwise preoccupied for the clumsily shot scene, the gooey facial of genetic juice launched to her delight (Penny did some post coital sucking too).

I hate edited scenes and the production values seemed lower than usual so I really couldn't encourage anyone to buy this one, the title therefore meriting a rating of Skip It. In short, Flawless 9 was actually heavily flawed, both conceptually as well as the scenes themselves so buyer beware that this was far from Metro's better offerings.
