Audio/Video Quality: Prey For The Dying was presented in anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Jakodema for Digital Playground. The camera work by Billy Visual and Sir Richard Manwin III, the makeup by Nichole, Steviee Hughes, and Jucky Belle, the art direction by Kylie Ireland & Andy Appleton, and the editing by Joey Pulgadas, Evul Atheng, Keethan Hawke, Baggus Young, and PJ Bronson, all helped the atmospheric mood of the feature elements to come across like a mainstream horror flick this time, some camera time code effects, blood splatters, and other weirdness contributing greatly to making this look legitimate in most ways. The camera work, lack of a company watermark, and lighting also made this a visually accurate production for this type of movie. The aural components of the show were also well handled in most cases, the 5.1 Dolby Surround added on during post production from what I could tell and the 448 Kbps audio bit rate adding some fine scoring. Body of Review: Jakodema is the lead director for Digital Playground these days, the man earning a lot of acclaim during award season this year. His latest in for review is called Prey For The Dying, a feature thriller that heavily borrows from the mainstream movie “House on Haunted Hill”. Rather than go for laughs, the production crew did a credible job with the feature material as well as the sex, the front cover making me wonder if the show was going to be a comedy spoof or not. In all though, getting Jayden Jaymes, Mia Malkova, Stevie Shae, Karlie Montana and others into trysts made this one to appreciate whether you come for the horror and stay for the sex or vice versa. The back cover described the movie like this: “Six people are invited by the spirits of a haunted house to participate in a gamble for their lives in exchange of one million dollars! These young and horny fools don't have a clue what gore is in store, as they embark on this scary venture around the house. They separate in pairs to find an exit, but as fear lingers, it hauntingly arouses them. Each lecherous couple screw away their fears and reach their most intense orgasm before the heinous acts of the night begin! A-list cast starring Jayden Jaymes, Nikki Benz, Mia Malkova, Stevie Shae, Karlie Montana and Chloe Amour for a night of climatic screams and horror.” Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

The sex was strokable and the thriller aspects capably handled, the direction by Jakodma (and art direction by Andy & Kylie) and casting of ladies like Stevie Shae, Mia Malkova, Jayden Jaymes, and Karlie Montana helped elevate this one about the pack to earn a solid Recommended. I’m finding that the production team seems to be trying out a variety of movie types though I wish they would more overtly let people know these are thinly disguised remakes beforehand. In short, Prey For The Dying should appeal to horror buffs wanting more sex and skin in their lives, the crew making great efforts to go the extra mile in numerous ways so give it a look.
