Audio/Video Quality: Kalina Ryu: Asian Fuck Doll was presented in a crisp, anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Jonni Darkko for Evil Angel. The flesh tones were accurate in most of the footage, the amount of light helping make the picture look better than average. The resolution of the footage was clear enough in some cases to spot all sorts of tiny details on my television that are not always obvious, the framing of most scenes really enhancing the look for me. There was a company watermark shown continuously on the lower right corner but it was faint and generally not a big problem thanks to efforts to keep most of the action away from that area. The aural components were offered up in 2.0 Dolby Digital English, the sound appearing to come from the built in microphone rather than a boom mike, no separation of the vocals noticed though the music did seem to offer some depth of field (even if it was annoyingly repetitive to me all too often).

Body of Review: Jonni Darkko is a stylish director at Evil Angel, his spotlight titles among the best the industry has to offer. Next month he will release his latest star showcase title called Kalina Ryu: Asian Fuck Doll, a double disc set of six scenes where the newcomer gets the full treatment. This is something of a rarity these days, spotlighting a performer with almost no work under her belt, my understanding being that she so impressed the director, he just couldn’t resist going all out. If that doesn’t speak volumes about her potential to truly shine in future endeavors, nothing does, Jonni’s many years of experience guiding his judgment at picking the best of the best to offer up like this. At this writing, the IAFD lists Kalina as an alias to her first porn name of “Lily Ocean” with only three credits on lesser name company works so this is a huge step for her career in every way possible. Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Kalina Ryu, the beautiful young Asian lady featured on the front cover, was up first with Jonni Darkko. The strokability, replay value, and sheer amount of fun factor she displayed made her a serious contender for a wide array of awards, my rating of this title coming in as Highly Recommended. Given that I’m not even known as a big Asian enthusiast you may even want to upgrade the rating a notch but in each scene, Kalina Ryu, formerly known as Lily Ocean, truly shined. In short then, Kalina Ryu: Asian Fuck Doll was one of the very best spotlight showcases I have seen in a long time, not relying on a host of circus act sex or a ton of “firsts” at all, her active riding skills and impressive oral abilities securing her future in the industry for a very long time indeed.
