Audio/Video Quality: Top Shelf 2 was presented in a very appealing 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Sid Knox for Diabolic using the MPEG-2 codec for the standard definition release (using a standard 480 resolution). The lighting was usually optimal and it generally limited the grain, video noise, and shadows other productions seem unable to get rid of far too often; the crotches again not as consistently well lit as they should have been. The composition of the shots weren't always completely flattering to the ladies but at least there was rarely any doubt about what was going on and where it was going; given the quality of the cast, this made it more enjoyable too. The fleshtones were generally accurate and the bitrate hovered in the low 3.1 Mbps area so it did not look great but aside from the light haze here, it was okay. There were no compression artifacts and the visuals were generally handled pretty well here. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English using the standard 192 Kbps bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate of most productions. The music was generic but the vocals; while plain as could be, could be heard in almost all cases; only slightly hollow at times when the ladies were making it clear their limits were being pushed.

Body of Review: Sid Knox has directed for Diabolic for some time now, his efforts not always consistently appealing on a technical level but the man wise enough to select some of the best talent in order to get results. His latest flick sent my way for review is called Top Shelf 2, the initial volume in the series (Top Shelf 1) coming out around two years ago. The premise here was to include some of the best qualified female talent to elevate the quality of the scenes, the bottom line being that there was definitely an impact in this regard, ladies like Alexis Texas, Kagney Linn Karter, and Lisa Ann (among others) suitable for any movie featuring quality talent. Going into the show though, I wondered if Sid could made the work stand out on its own merits given the way the ladies have been keeping so busy for so long. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Rebeca Linares with Tommy Gunn

Scene One: Alexis Texas, looking especially thin on the front cover (second from the left in the back row), was fed up with her snoring bed buddy so she sought out relief from Alex Gonz, the man channel surfing on the living room couch. She was wearing a flimsy red outfit and pounced on him, dry humping him as they kissed and caressed one another. He removed her dress and sucked her tits, eating out her hairy bush before she slobbed his knob enthusiastically, which led to a variety of active vaginal positions on the black couch. Alexis aurally encouraged him to continue but he needed to unleash his seed, jerking it off to her face for a genetic juice finish. The chemistry between them was moderate and it was a decent scene with replay value.

Scene Two: Lisa Ann, the busty brunette seen on the far left side of the front cover standing up, was up next with hotty MILF Francesca Le (sitting down on the far right side of the cover), the two jumping the bones of studly Mick Blue. The ladies wore bikini undies during the tease montage but soon appeared dressed up in the vignette, Lisa being a realtor trying to sell a large house to the couple. This involved her "throwing in a little something extra" in the form of her body, the gal caressing Francesca on the bed to initiate the sexual activities. The trio began the age old process of removing clothing and giving little kisses, hands freely roaming as sexy lingerie appeared. Lisa was larger than Francesca and Mick seemed happy with both of them, the ladies cranking up the heat as they licked and sucked their way all over each other and Mick. Both ladies did a fine job on the oral, even applying it intermittently throughout the scene in the form of taste testing, actively riding vaginally until he rubbed out a wad of population pudding to their torsos/tits. The amount of eye contact and personal chemistry was exceptional here, elevating the strokability and replay value.

Scene Three: Kagney Linn Karter, the curvy blond babe seen on the front cover (third from the left), was up next and she was looking exceptionally sexy in her tease montage, her positive energy beaming forward in such a manner that it made sense producer Mark Wood would take the opportunity to show her how much her liked her performances in her "dailies". When the lights went down, there was too much grain on the screen but the couple admired each other for all the usual reasons, her girlish demeanor elevating his desire to have her. They were in a large screening room and made their respective moves, his hands all over her as her green dress gave way to sexy black lingerie. He ate her front and back before she blew him with some titty fuck action, actively bumping uglies in various positions (the grain stayed a bit on the heavy side though). The chemistry was lighter here than in the previous scenes but there was definitely some strokability and his pop shot landed on her lower abdomen for those that care.

Scene Four: Rebeca Linares, the Spanish darling seen kneeling on the lower left hand corner of the front cover, was up next as she beckoned in a seductive manner all throughout the house during her montage. The attempts at eroticism were better than expected, ending up in the scenario having her as a model to photographer Tommy Gunn. It was slight and disposable like all the vignettes here, but both of them seemed to work well together mechanically, the level of performance hardly harming it at all. She made the first move by putting her hand on his pecker and soon whipped it out to aggressively suck, her hand increasing the friction to make things better until he was ready to go down on her. They then actively rode vaginally in multiple positions, her taste testing plentiful before the chest pop landed his population pudding where he placed it.

Scene Five: Tori Black, the sexy and all natural brunette seen featured on the far right side of the front cover (standing over Francesca), was up last in what amounts to a perfect set of casting as she ended up with studly John Strong in the game room. Her sleek animal print dress looked good on her as she bent over to play pool with him, the lady using her feminine charms to distract him from playing his best game. Her garters hung down below her hem line and her thong rode her ass crack, their game of strip pool soon providing ample eye candy for our collective spank banks. She dropped down to blow him before he licked her twat, the couple vaginally boning though the resolution remained on the low side. She provided some dirty talk to make things hotter, even going so far as to provide him access to her ass (which he went right to tapping as she passively enjoyed the action). There was some ATM and other taste testing here, their chemistry modest but the cutie looking very appealing to add some replay value to the entire show. It ended when she blew him to completion by the purple couch, swallowing his load with a funny look on her face.

Summary: Top Shelf 2 by director Sid Knox for Diabolic was definitely an attempt at getting an all star cast of ladies with men that were arguably better than average in most ways, the resulting passion and chemistry in most scenes making for a solid hit that surprised me a little coming from Sid. There was need of technical aspects being polished up and I'm not sure I liked the new form of menu displayed but overall it merited a rating of Highly Recommended for anyone claiming to be a fan of the ladies here as much as I am. There were some standout performances as noted above but it was nice to see Sid break out of the generic gonzo mold for a chance to elevate his status. In short, Top Shelf 2 was even better than Top Shelf 1 in most ways, the casting alone making it a superior place to fill your spank bank with images of heated ladies going at it in various vignettes so check it out.
