Extras: The extras were the cookie cutter standard, as expected with some trailers, a photogallery, spam, and a short Behind the Scenes feature by Dan Silver lasting 18:36 minutes. Most of the BTS is just interview material but it helped flesh out a few of the performers, I just wish it had been more complete as a time capsule for the show itself like some of the other sitcum makers have been providing.

Audio/Video Quality: This Ain't Intervention XXX was presented in a colorful 1.78:1 ratio, widescreen, offering as shot by director Slain Wayne for Hustler Video using the 1080 resolution and AVC codec typical of high definition movies. There appeared to be an attempt to do this one on the cheap, paying less attention to the sets, the clothing, and other visual elements of the movie this time, the folks at Hustler perhaps settling for the attempt instead of wanting better. The editing was one of the weakest genre efforts but Leon Coffee seemed up to the task of polishing up Slain's raw footage nicely enough. The standard definition version of the flick had significant compression artifacts, noise & edge enhancement, and weak lighting; all of which reduced the effect of the production for me. In short, in terms of the visual esthetics, this title fell way short of the original volume in the series but wasn't horrible, but as a first attempt at a sitcum by the admittedly less skilled director, he has a long way to go to reach even the efforts of Braun. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English with a 224 Kbps audio bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate, the script on the bland side as if it was made up as they went along. The audio levels were highly inconsistent though, varying a great deal so if you are going to watch this one, make sure the batteries in your remote control are fresh.

Body of Review: Slain Wayne was always one of those guys professing to be an alternative to the porn hack directors that followed whatever trend was popular, his work at Extreme Associates always followed by interviews slamming the rest of the porn industry for how formulaic they were (comparing them to the pony rides outside of grocery stores for example). That said, economic realities of the day have him directing for Hustler Video, jumping into the sitcum fray with This Ain't Intervention XXX, taking the admittedly obscure A&E cable show into the pornified mind of the deviant director for a result one might anticipate given a small budget used by a small time director. Having watched only portions of a single episode, I'm not an expert on the original show but this time, the scenes seem like they were shot in a single location, quickly, and under a time table even some of the third tier sitcum directors would find impossible. The technical qualities were on the weak side and the thematic material almost completely discarded so if you're looking for a halfway decent parody, you've come to the wrong place but given the cast of attractive bleach blonds, I figured it might be worth looking into. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Briana Blair with Seth Gamble

Scene One: Amy Brooke, a bleach blond stripper type of gal heavily into sports, had a gambling addiction and ended up losing a bet so she had to work with Brett Rockman and Joey Brass on a bed. The set up for the scene was enough to dissuade me from reviewing this one for a few times, my desire to push through it weakened by the acting. She lost her clothing and soon wrapped her lips around their cocks in turns, the men drilling her pussy and then ass as they saw fit. Amy was a modestly active performer but kept looking at the camera and had no chemistry with either of them so the end result lacked replay value. She did some taste testing and showed a little potential though so even the manner in which she received their genetic juice facially did not kill it completely for me.

Scene Two: Raylene, the comeback MILF so many men have adored over the years, was up next as she took on sexy bleach blond Cody Love, the guy a chronic masturbator. The ladies basically left him alone to start kissing each other, their clothing finding its way to the floor as they embraced on a small couch. There was pussy eating, fingering, and some 69 action, rubbing each other in scissor fashion though it was all poorly shot.

Scene Three: Briana Blair, yet another gal looking like a stripper on the make, began the next bit of action by jerking off Seth Gamble, her hand to gland abilities such that I wanted her to do me next. She then elevated the dynamic by slobbing his knob, both of them getting undressed for him to diddle her as she continued, slapping her ass before he started banging her snatch. While I thought it curious that he was apparently allowed to wear a brand name shirt that had to be blurred out (distracting me to say the least), the fourth tier moper probably worked for free given his performance abilities on display here. He certainly did not last very long and the passive riding in the few positions did not interest me in the slightest. She did some taste testing and he rubbed out a wad of population pudding onto her face as she looked up at him.

Scene Four: Kagney Linn Karter, the biggest "name" of the movie in terms of current performers, was up next as the roommate of a packrat so she ended up doing Jerry. He was checking her out and looking rougher than I think I've ever seen him look, the intervention not going the way they planned it so the two ended up talking on the bed. He pulled out one of her hot little titties and started suckling on it, eliciting moans and a kiss that led to his hand in her pants. For those that are unaware of her status, she is the gal in the middle of the front cover, the gal going over the top when reciprocating his oral on her but always looking great in the movie. For me, this was the sole high point of the movie and even though she was with a guy she had no connection with, her performance was pretty decent, actively riding his modest pecker and showing she was anal friendly with her fingers. Kagney did some more oral on him and after he throat fucked her, he jerked out his nut onto her face.

Scene Five: Britney Blair, the gal featured on the right side of the front cover, was up last with moper Arnold Schwarzenpecker, the guy holding a small videocamera as she teased him. They made out and she blew him, the guy skipping reciprocation to start banging her passive body. The gal showed physical potential other than the implants but the levels of grain due to sucky lighting made several portions of this one almost unwatchable. It ended too quickly too, the lady receiving the facial at the end of the limited action.

Summary: This Ain't Intervention XXX Blu-ray by director Slain Wayne for Hustler Video showed the director doing very little with the concept from the show, attempting to cash in on the parody craze like so many others have been of late. Unfortunately, his attempts fell short despite some halfway decent ladies here, looking more like a series of five unrelated vignettes than anything else and completely devoid of the director's early career attitude of providing something different and unique. Still, for all the shortcomings of the movie, there was enough to merit a rating of Rent It if you appreciate any of the ladies in the cast, the company brand stretched more than usual to cram this one into the sitcum genre. In short, if you expect much from This Ain't Intervention XXX, you will likely be disappointed but like so many parodies of the day, there might be enough for you to stroke one out if you're not too picky so consider it worth a peek, the high definition version not really adding a whole lot on my big screen television.
