Extras: The only substantive extra on the first disc was the 22:45 minute Behind the Scenes feature, much of it devoted to additional sexual exploits. There was also a set of trailers, a photogallery, and a compilation of popshots from the movie. The second disc was merely a black and white version of the same movie, some of the dialogue portions taking on new life in an atmospheric manner conducive to the original Hitchcock flick from decades ago.

Audio/Video Quality: Official Psycho Parody was presented in a visually appealing anamorphic widescreen color using an aspect ratio of 1.78:1 as shot by director Gary Orona for Zero Tolerance using the MPEG-2 codec employed by standard definition releases with a 480 resolution. The lighting was strong, eliminating the shadows and grain I dislike so much, the overall look of the show was surprisingly strong for a director with limited titles under his belt. The bitrate tended to hover around the mid 6.1 Mbps area most of the time I paid any attention to it, the composition of the camera angles typically optimal for the ladies but always managing to keep the feature aspects in mind. The composition of the scenes enhanced the look of the ladies, this particular cast able to handle the solid lighting quite well. The second disc provided a B&W version of the movie, keeping all the smut and dialogue intact but managing to offer a slightly different experience at times due to the moods invoked. The sole audio track was presented in 1.0 Dolby Digital English using the standard 192 Kbps rate using a 48 kHz sampling rate most titles are mastered with, the aural experience fairly limited but much like the gonzo titles the company is known for, just upgraded with ambient noises to flesh out the aural experience. There was also no separation between the channels but the dynamic range was a lot better than usual. The voices could be clearly heard with the balance between those and the music nicely handled, the ambient effects also mixed in properly.

Body of Review: Gary Orona is a relative newcomer to directing porn but he has made quite a splash with his best efforts released by Zero Tolerance this past year. Gary’s focus has been to take popular horror/thriller movies and “re-envision” them rather than spoof them, paying homage to the originals more than just pornify them with added sex scenes. For the most part, these efforts have reaped numerous accolades and I expect the Official Psycho Parody to continue this trend, the Hitchcock classis that introduced the archetype character of Norman Bates into pop culture the perfect target for Gary’s brand of work. Starring such babes as Courtney Cummz, Kagney Linn Karter, and Francesca Le, the sexual aspects of the movie were most strokable and offered substantial replay value, my biggest complaint being the editing of the infamous shower scene in drastic need of polishing up and reworking (no blood until several obvious strikes with the blade greatly weakened it for me).

The back cover described the movie like this: “This twisted interpretation of Hitchcock’s classic features a sexually explosive performance by Sara Sloane as Marion Crane, the temptress who steals a wad of cash to be with her hot lover, Sam. At the infamous Bates Motel, Marion meets her kinky match in Norman, the cross-dressing taxidermist who spies on Marion through a peephole in her hotel room and becomes obsessed. He invites her to dinner where her sick psycho-sexual fetish is not the only thing that gets exposed, then later he takes her life in the faithfully recreated shower scene with one departure – it’s fully nude! It’s too late for Marion by the time the horny gumshoe detective comes to investigate, and when he blows town with a local hooker who blows him, Sam and Marion’s sister Lila are the only ones left to lay bare the truth, and each other.” Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

That led to some modestly active vaginal penetration positions, Sara taking charge as she milked him dry all over her lower torso (he rubbed a large load of population pudding out). The shower scene concluded their tryst.

Scene Three: Kagney Linn Karter, a sexy blond bombshell contract gal, was up next in lingerie as she encouraged muscular Lee Stone to go down on her. Summary: Official Psycho Parody by director Gary Orona for Zero Tolerance might have needed additional polishing up but as far as porn tributes are concerned, it was one of the best I’ve seen in 2011; the relative lack of parody aspects trumped by the engaging sexual trysts of the cast. The stroke value and replayability were enough to merit a rating of Recommended or better though, fans of the original movie perhaps seeing more layered depth in repeated viewings than I did watching it a couple of times (once in color, once in B&W). In short, this Official Psycho Parody took the movie in a decidedly different direction than I anticipated, fans of Gary Orona’s thriller remakes almost certain to be satisfied with what he did and how he did it so give it a look and enjoy yourself as you see fit.
