Audio/Video Quality: She’s Only 18 #3 was offered up in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen as shot by directors for Porn Pros to be distributed by Pulse. It is my understanding that the scenes were originally shot for the web and are now coming to DVD, the box cover making it seem like they would look as low budget as many of their peers in the web-to-DVD industry. Thankfully, this was not the case, the lighting excellent in most cases, the cameras steady, and a variety of camera angles enhancing the sexual trysts. While not specifically crediting anyone, I think there was ample evidence that seasoned professionals shot at least some of these scenes, the devotion to tease and a lot of action making them stand out as well ahead of the pack regardless of the bitrates involved. The audio was again offered up in 2.0 Dolby Digital English, the vocals easier to hear in some cases than others but a general lack of music and ambient sounds suggesting that the aural qualities were confined to the very basics.

Body of Review: Pulse is an umbrella distributor for a number of companies, one of them that caught my eye of late being Porn Pros. The first title of theirs I’ve reviewing for Xcritic is called She’s Only 18 #3and I have to admit that going into it, I feared the lighting would suck as bad as it does on most web scenes converted to DVD and the casting would mean a few babes stuck with a lot of filler. The good news is that the lighting and other technical qualities were very good in most ways while the casting in the five lengthy scenes included such attractive ladies as Jynx Maze, Heather Starlet, April O’Neil, Jessie Andrews, Melanie Rios, and others that were young, hot, and ready to have fun in a movie that lasted over three hours. Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Jynx Maze, the bubble butt babe in purple featured on the left side of the front cover, and blond Heather Starlet, the gal seen next to her, were up first playing in the sun outside in shorts and tank tops. Summary: She’s Only 18 #3 by Pulse was a lot better than I thought it would be based solely on the cover, the standout scene for me being the opener thanks to Jynx Maze and Heather Starlet. The technical values were good and the casting of youthful ladies (regardless of their actual age) made this one stand out as being worthy of a Recommended rating or better, the amounts of strokable fuck for the buck and replay value enough to generate some buzz. In short, She’s Only 18 #3 was the first in the series for me to review but I suspect that I will appreciate future volumes (maybe even past volumes some day) and it is a shame that the director was not credited given the quality of the work in each of the five scenes. In all then, if you are interested in youthful ladies having some fun, you should find this one well worth picking up, other titles from Porn Pros probably pretty good too.
